Chapter 38

Chiyo Pov

After knocking down a few tree's I find the other's on a hill, "Have you calmed down now?" I glance at Touchan and nod, "So how did you and Master Jiraiya figure it out?" I look at Touchan and he get's the hint that he should explain, so he does. In the mean time I close my eyes and enjoy the breeze in my hair, I appear and grab the kunai out of Sasame's hands.

"How can you expect to find Arashi if you're dead?" She looks up at me in surprise, "Yes you tricked us but you where just doing what you had thought was right so you could see your cousin again." Touchan scoffs, "The law of the shinobi cannot be ignored, for the things she has done there must be sever punishment." Naruto and Sakura move in front of Sasame protectively, and I move in front of them. "Well those laws are idiotic to me Touchan and I made a promise I would help get her cousin out. So if you want to get to her you have to got threw me, and you know that won't be easy."

Touchan chuckles and puts a hand on my head, "You really do act like me, anyway Sasame Hanzaki has been worried about you. And he figured it was only a matter of time before you went after Arashi, so after you lead us to Orochimaru's hide out. You'll go back to the Inn where Hanzaki is and wait there for us to get back. That is you're punishment I am given you."

I smile at him and he grins at me, people are right when they say I act like him. I turn around and smile at Sasame who smiles at me gratefully, "Looks like your stuck with us a little longer."

We follow Sasame into the forest and hide behind a tree, "That's his hide out."

"You've done your part now leave the rest to us."

"Be careful on your way back to the Inn Sasame."

"Don't worry okay me and Chiyo promise will get Arashi out."

I send her a slight nod and study the entrance, "Please take care of him." I can't help but wonder if you're really somewhere in there Sasuke. We get closer to the entrance, "If this is an ambush while be easy pickings." Naruto grunts, "Well there's nothing we can do let's just go." Touchan shakes his head, "Hang on if we go in just like that we could attract attention, so lets send in something else."

He bite's his thumb," Summoning Jutsu!" I look at the tiny toad with a blank expression, "Hey long time no see, oh Sakura, Chiyo this is Gamakichi." It's so small, "See that entry way we need you to go and check it out." Gamakichi nods, "No problem its a simple enough task." Sakura shivers, "Frogs just really give me the creeps." I chuckle a little, "Damn that's bad news for you Naruto." He glares at me and I hold my hands up with a knowing smile. We watch from above as Gamakichi makes his way in, I glance behind me knowing Sasame hasn't left.

"Oh you have a crussshhhhh~" I feel my face heat up a little, "No I do not I just think she's pretty baka." He snickers at me and I puff my cheeks out a little as we begin to follow slightly behind Gamakichi. Then with our luck we come to three separate hallways, "Hmm we have no choice but to split up into three." Naruto begins walking to the middle door, "Heh my gut tells me it's the middle door."

"Naruto wait." He looks back at me frustrated, "In situations like this you can never be to careful." And Touchan pulls out a staff and stands it on the ground it falls to the far right one, "All right guess I'll go that way." I pinch my nose, "How was that any different then Naruto's Touchan?" He shrugs at me, "It's all about technique, if you haven't found anything in 30 minutes meet back here go it."

"Hai..." He looks at me serious, "Naruto, Sakura and Chiyo for your own safety all three of you need to stick together." But I get the message under it and nod, don't worry Touchan I'll protect them. "From this point on its the first circle of hell, stay on alert and be prepared for anything." Naruto takes front then Sakura with me behind her, "Will take the middle."

"Sakura, Chiyo be careful where you step there's no telling where traps are." Just as Naruto says that he steps on a tile, "Baka!" I grab both of there arms and begin running while shuriken and turn around a corner, Naruto runs ahead and trips over a rope. I look above me and my eyes widen, I quickly throw them both, "Chiyo noo!!" I groan and shake my head a little, "Naruto you a magnet for trouble..."

I grab the bamboo and break it and sit on the floor for a minute and pop my neck, "Are you okay?" I stand and smile slightly at Sakura, "It take's a lot to take me out, how about you take the lead instead of the knucklehead.

"Hey!" She nods and begins to walk and not long for here to set off a trap door, I manage to pull her back but end up falling down the hole. I sigh hearing there faint shouts, "Naruto, Sakura can you hear me?"

"Yes Chiyo are you okay?!!!" I look down and swear-drop, "I'm fine listen just get out of that death trap of a hallway okay." I can hear a bang, "Like hell we leave you!!!" I grunt, "I said go now!!! I'll be behind you guys so don't worry I promise!!!!" There footsteps fade and I look around me, well this is going to be fun.

Just then water burst threw the wall.....I hate my life

Sakura Pov

I hold a flare up as me and Naruto reach a door, I turn around and look down the hall. "Hey Sakura if you're worried about Chiyo don't be." I look at Naruto and he grins at me, "She promised she'll catch up and if I learned anything about her is that she always keeps her promises believe it!!" I smile and nod just as the door creaks open, I put out the flare.

We lean against it and look inside, "I don't see anything..." We run inside and take out kunai hiding behind the pillars, the candles flicker slightly. Someone's here, "It's been quiet admirable that you two have made it this far Naruto, Sakura." My eyes widen, that voice it has to be Kabuto. I glance over at Naruto to see him shaking in anger, "To think back at the Chunin Exams all you guys did was hide behind Chiyo. And know look at you guys the only ones from the Leaf who where able to make it this far into our compound."

"We're not here by ourselves Chiyo and Master Jiraiya will get here shortly." Naruto growls, "Now tell us where Sasuke is you bastard! You better not have done anything to him or I'll rip you to shreds!!" He sighs, "Enough about Sasuke if I where you two I'd be more concern about Chiyo and Jiraiya's well being. Or maybe not it could be that those two are no longer in this world." I clench my kunai tight, he's lying Chiyo wouldn't die so easily.

"There's know way Pervy-sage and Chiyo would be taken out so easily!" Kabuto chuckles a little, "Is that so of could it be that you guys dragged Chiyo down again? Am I right?" I try to run over to Naruto but shuriken land at my feet forcing me back behind the pillar.

"If you weren't so worry why would you want to go convince Naruto you should go check on her? Or are you too afraid to come out from behind those pillars, is that it how pathetic. If someone as weak or slow as you where are on my Team Sakura, I would have gotten rid of you myself." Naruto growls, "Shut up you don't know any of us!! Sakura you better not be listening to him!!" I rush out, I can do it!!!

I substitute with my sleeping bag, and run out behind him our kunai clash. "Shadow clone jutsu!!" Naruto begins to attack him but Kabuto gets rid of the clones easily and kicks the real Naruto back to me. "You guys still can't take me, its about time I take my leave after all I can't keep Lord Orochimaru waiting." I gasp, Lord Orochimaru is here!!?? I shake my head no I'm a different person now, I'm stronger! I charge at Kabuto again but her merrily jumps over my head, "Let's see about that."

Naruto goes to my side as the room begins to shake, a laugh comes from behind Kabuto. No it can't be, "I can tell when you're bluffing my dear, like right now you're already finished!" My legs tremble and I drop my kunai as he walks closer...where are you Chiyo.....
