Idk if I made this up but this is a Soulmate AU based upon the lyrics of 'Heart Attack' more specifically:
"Never said yes to the right guy"
"But when it comes to you I'm never good enough"
"Yes, you make me nervous that I just can't hold your hand"
"You make me glow, but I cover up won't let it show"
"So I'm putting my defense up, cause I don't wanna fall in love"
So basically this is a Soulmate AU were your cheeks glow when you're connected with your soulmate and once connected they glow when they're around
Ex: You can be around your first day at a new school and not quite know it's them until you connect and become friends with them
(OC) never quite believed in soulmates so they just went with any guy/girl/person who would ask them out or to hang out. But around (Crush) their cheeks began to glow and (OC) didn't want to believe (Crush) was their soulmate because (Crush) was just great at everything they did and such that (OC) didn't think they would be enough. So embarrassed others including (Crush) would figure it out (OC) started wearing a mask over their mouth
And little did (OC) know, (Crush) was doing the same thing for the exact same reason.
A/N: Cheeks glow the color of the person (EX: Bakugou's would be Orange since Orange is his color, Uraraka's would be Pink, etc)
