Fei Qianchi's eyes flickered open. As he tried to keep himself awake, he finally realized that he was inside of a house. Eyes wide open, Fei Qianchi pushed himself off of the bed, grunting as he did so.
"You shouldn't get up so soon."
Fei Qianchi snapped his head towards this voice.
Walking in was a gallant man. His skin was quite pale, long black hair tied up by a ribbon. He was dressed in a pure white robe, his figure tall and lean with long limbs. His lips were thin, with narrow eyes that appeared sharp. His eyebrows were arched, making his red eyes appear even more visible and highlighted. There was a smile on his lips as he walked in, as if he had no worries.
"You?" Fei Qianchi furrowed his brows. Then, his hands shook. Was this him? Was this his savior?
As Fei Qianchi thought back to the words that the man had said just moments before he lost consciousness, he felt an emotion burst within him.
The man smiled, walking over, sitting next to Fei Qianchi. "I am. I see that you still have my pendant."
Fei Qianchi didn't know how to feel. Obviously, he was always searching for this man. Yet, upon finding him, something felt different. "You are really my savior?" He asked once more.
"If not me, then who else?" The man replied softly.
Fei Qianchi was silent for a while. Cautiously, he asked, "What is your name?"
The man smiled, his red eyes glinting softly. "My name is Baicheng, a cultivator with no sect. It is my greatest honor to have met someone from the esteemed Fushui Sect." Baicheng's hands were busy as he grounded a few herbs together using a pestle.
"Baicheng." Fei Qianchi repeated. "I am Fei Qianchi, the boy that you saved from before, a cultivator of Fushui Sect."
"I know. It would be hard not to recognize you." Baicheng's eyes lighted up as he said this.
Fei Qianchi looked at the man, not knowing why he had a weird feeling in his heart.
"Back then, I had to do the same thing. You certainly scared me if I am to be honest. Your battered body was shocking to see." Baicheng calmly stated as he looked up.
It was then that Fei Qianchi recalled, "My injuries this time, how long will it take for me to heal?" He shifted as he sat up, his back leaning against the wooden frame.
"Not too long. Since you are also an immortal, your body will heal faster. I just have to make sure your wounds don't get infected." Baicheng's voice was very smooth as he continued to ground the herbs into a paste.
Fei Qianchi couldn't help but stare at Baicheng's red eyes. Red eyes were rare. As far as Fei Qianchi knew, only Su Fuwen possessed red eyes.
Fei Qianchi knew that Baicheng caught his stare. The man merely smiled as he explained, "My eyes were originally blue. Unfortunately, I suffered through a tribulation that seriously injured me. My eyes suffered from that and turned to this color."
Hearing this, Fei Qianchi relaxed. He was just thinking too much. And then, he recalled Zhu Longwang. What happened to him? He was a bit worried. Even though he knew that Zhu Longwang was much stronger than him, he still couldn't help but be worried.
"I need to apply this paste onto your wound first. That man really injured your back so I had to fix it up a bit." Baicheng interrupted Fei Qianchi's thoughts.
Fei Qianchi jerked up. "No, that's alright." Then, without caring, Fei Qianchi took off his clothes, slipping off his robe. As the robe slid off his body, it revealed his even and toned muscles. He turned around, his back to Baicheng as he realized that he could now feel the bandages wrapped around him.
