I dial Mother's Number into my phone; leaving a voice message after the beep. Letting her know that Lisa and I are truely over. I know leaving a voice message wasn't the right thing to do but it had to be done in a way where I couldn't hear her disappointment tone in her voice. I've had enough disappointments for one night and I couldn't drag this lie out for another week before the spring break hits. I'd briefly told her that I'd be stay over fathers this break and come around the weekend if she would want me there. Knowing she'd be shooting bricks at me for stuffing things up with Lisa but even worse spilling the lies out; I know she'll want me to leave and never come back like father had when she'd told him too. The thing is I'm more like her then she likes to admit. We say things that we don't really mean. I do my early morning routine for the gym and head into a warm steaming shower; my conscience came so clear. Fiona had been easy from the start, besides the other things that were into play that wasn't, we maybe could of worked out but maybe not, I'm not into much of becoming a hero type of wolf and saving others from Drake. Drake out of all wolves is like calling for your death bed and that's not what I want too see from anyone. A knock at the bathroom door sends me back into reality as Hunter ask if he could enter. I open the door fully clothed putting my left sock on leaning on the door frame. "How was last night?" I'd ask Hunter well knowing he went on a blind date. "She was blind" his voice is casual brushing up his messy hair into a bun. "Yeah? How was it?" I'd didn't know whether to joke or not. I hear the tap turn while running water flows and then turns off. "It was surprisingly fun" Hunters voice sounded loud in the bathroom as it echoes in there. "Take the word out of blind date seriously aee" Hunter laughs through the words putting a fresh blue top over his head. "Would you go see her again?" I couldn't help but nod my head and laugh. Hunter whiplashes me with his towel on my knees laughing harder. I loose balance falling onto my messy bed. "Yeah ... nah I don't think she was quite into it to be honest, friends yeah but nothing else I guess" He sounded as if he didn't want to admit it was him that rejected a girl because she was blind. "Fair is fair I guess" I shrug my shoulders showing him it wasn't a bad thing. "Anyway see you around" I finish putting on my shoes while grabbing a textbook for my first class this morning. I close the door behind me and exit the building towards the University front yard garden. Together in a straight line. Lisa gives me a friendly wave, Daisy rolls her eyes and Fiona simply walks by giving me nothing; not even a glance but I still felt that music playing between us for a short few seconds. "Hey Fiona" I manage to get out breaking there straight line into three awkward columns. Fiona waves the girls something in a soft tone as they giggle walking away from us. "What are you doing?" Her voice seem more firm. "I wanted to talk to you about last" she cuts me off putting her two fingers on my mouth. "Shh.... you don't need to explain anything to me Peter" she says my full name in her Australian accent. Her touch feels as if she's taken my breath away but quickly comes back when her Hazel eyes looks into mine. "Your fingers are very cold" I blurred out between her fingers. She pulls them back into a fist. "Oh my bad" she shakes her head making her wavy hair sway side to side. "Are you feeling okay?" She looks at her hands and then sighs out calmly. "Yes I am okay" she gives me a soft smile. "actually I'm doing better than okay, Daisy's "boy" friend is having a party tonight down at the beach, his the DJ playing so yeah" she hyphens her two fingers in the air and gives in a soft giggle. She is either high from smoking to much weed that Daisy's friend had given her; considering that's all I smell. That strong aroma in the air around her or she's getting ready to transform into something that we'd both know isn't good for anyone to see at a crowd party. It is possible that it's both right now. "Oh cool don't mind if I come along too then!" Fiona pouts her lips. "Well seeming we're all good, right?" My voice sounds playful hoping she'll take the bait. "Sure" she gives me a big smile this time and bends in closer giving me a quick kiss on the right cheek. "See you at six at the corner burger joint" She gives me a thumps up catching up to Daisy and Lisa locking in there arms like loops. I continue to walk to my next class which I found the door to be locked. Is ten minutes to early for class; to early for the Teacher? He thrashes the keys about in his hands greeting my name; unlocking the door and opening the lights. I take a sit in the second front row leaving the end sit lonely. Another person walks in taking a sit in the third back row of the room. The teacher starts writing notes on the board for today's subject while a few more little crowds come into class. A knock on my right shoulder wakes me up, I had fallen asleep during class. "Dude, seriously " Charlie lightly laughs picking up my things off the desk while I grab my bag. "Here's the notes; you probably need them more then I do" I grab the paper thanking him. I honestly closed my eyes for what felt like two minutes. The class goes for about twenty minutes; sometimes a little longer. I have to spares this afternoon, which I will be at work at the car wash; then Economics Class and then Spring break starts.
"Are you going to the beach party?" I ask Charlie as if I was out of breath. "Yeah everyone is; it's a spring party thing we do at the beginning of spring holidays, why wouldn't you go" he laugh as if I'd asked a silly question.
I felt so left out of the loop that I thought it was a private party. Is that why Fiona didn't postpone my invite because it wasn't anyone's invite to give. "Right....yeah" I make a turn into the cafeteria lining up in the line to pick up a red tray as Charlie follows in behind. He talks about what he'll be doing this spring break which is mostly with Dante and meeting his Parents a few suburbs back from here. I pick up the red sauce pasta bowl onto my tray with a bread roll. Charlie ask what I had planned for the spring break. His face drops at his tray full of fried rolls and dim sims. "Well it could be worse; nice just to chill kind of spring break" He picks up two Fanta soda drinks, one he puts it onto his and the other on mine. He whispers under his breath swearing and then grabs another bottle but it was Coca-Cola in to his tray. Relationships thinking of another person other than yourself. I pay for my tray and take a sit near our normal table next to Hunter on my left and Hannah across the table. Hunter opens my bottle taking a long sip from it as a way of greeting me. I don't mind totally as he puts two satay skewers on my tray. "You guys still gross me out when you do that" Sabrina squints her eyes shut and looks away in disgust for a quick second and then puts fresh hot chips into her mouth. Max and Hannah where to busy having a disagreement about something between them to even notice I had joined them. William comes to the table sitting next to Sabrina with a small Greek Salad and a water bottle. "You on a diet Wheels?" Hunter ask in laughter. "Saving it for tonight" he simply answers it forking his salad and then takes a big crunch on it. Staring at Hunter with his Alpha Hunting eyes. It makes everyone on the table tense but it breaks when Max stands up from the table away from Hannah's arm. "I've had Enough" Max voice is loud and strong, it's like his back; his voice. He'd been broken. I knew some day it would happen but not today. It was unexpected. Hannah stood up as he walks away. She step forwards a few steps but didn't continue to follow. All eyes are on Hannah as she leaves the cafeteria out through the outside doors. A few people go back to what they were doing and others still remain with curious eyes. Sabrina follows her out giving Fiona a look as she walks into the cafeteria, she excuse herself from Daisy's Friend Group. Lisa isn't nowhere to be seen until the day cools down. In the Library Lisa drops off a few borrowed books, she gives me a small smile as I finishes up tutoring a freshman.
