"And where the hell do you think you're going?"

I spin around, hopping off of the smaller crate I stood on, staring at her. Her bow string was drawn back, an arrow pointing directly at me. I roll my eyes.

"How many entrances do you have to make?" I ask, chuckling.

She glares, taking another step closer to me, her bow still trained on me, "You have terrorized this city for MONTHS, You have played with all of us for far too long, you have failed this city."

I smirk, "Maybe it's you who has failed it."

I drop a flash bang and quickly make my exit while the smoke clears.

"God daMNIT!" I hear yell as I continue running.

——

"Where the hell were you?" My roommate asks as I stumble in the door.

I shrug, "Had a few errands to run."

"Well have you seen the news? That- criminal, she got away... AGAIN! The vigilantes can't even catch her. She's slippery." He grumbles, crossing his arms over his chest.

"Yeah? Well it's her job, right? To slip away?" I head to my room.

I can hear him shuffling around, "Yeah but she killed a crime lord, according to the reports."

I roll my eyes, "Aren't you supposed to be hungover or something?"

He says something, but I cut him off as I slam my door shut. Sleep, that is something I'm in dear need of.

I quickly change into bed clothes, and flop into my cloud of softness. My muscles relaxing, my breathing slowing. And soon, the world goes black, reappearing in dream land, until morning of course.

——

A couple of weeks later

——

"CONNOR THAT WAY!" Mia yells.

To my left was Zoe, to my right was Connor. And Mia, she was behind me. My heart pounded through my ears as I sped up, dodging between objects that stood in my way in the old building.

I quickly shoot an old, large rusty pipe at its hinge, hearing it fall as I continue running.

"Zoe!" Connor yells, his footsteps stopping. I glance back to see Zoe pinned beneath the pipe, and I smirk, making my getaway down the hallway. I make a couple of turns and find myself in another long hallway with an exit door at the end.

So close... or so I thought.

I'm tackled to the ground by a dark figure. I grumble trying to push them off but fail. "What the fuck?!" I yell, my arms now pinned above me. I look up only to see blonde hair. I scowl, trying to get out of her grip.

"I've got you know," She mumbles. For a moment, it's like the world slowed to a stop. All we can hear is our own breathing.

Her brown eyes stand out against her face, something I'd never noticed before. Of course, we've never been this close to each other before.

We're interrupted by the shuffling of feet, "Mia!" Zoe yells as she runs over to us, Connor following closer behind.

I attempt to get out from beneath Mia again, but to avail.

"Ya know... the way you're holding me down can be taken other ways." I smirk, seeing her face turn the lightest shade of pink.

Clearly, she was caught off guard by my comment, but her grip only tightened.
