For the past few weeks, all I've felt is eyes on me. Ever since the buildings exploded- I've been paranoid. Since those emails appeared in my inbox.

Jumping at every yell or clatter of an object, I haven't even gone out to do my usual crimes. Only to my local grocery store, and back to my lair. And even then, I try not to leave often.

No doubt Team Arrow has noticed my disappearance, who knows how they feel about it. Frustrated, perhaps?...

I glance over to my left at a man walking towards me. I tense up, grasping the metal can of sweet corn before me, watching him from the corner of my eye.

He passes, and I breathe out, a breath I didn't know I was holding. I rest my forehead against the shelf, muttering under my breath.

"Oh what the hell.."

I adjust the hood over my head, adding the can for my basket along with a few other necessities.

I have a small cooktop in my lair, and I've used it to cook anything I need, along with a crock pot.

Advanced technology is amazing when it comes to power sources. Thank you, Ray Palmer, and Felicity Smoak!

"Did you find everything you need, ma'am?" The cashier asks me, a smile plastered on her face.

I gently nodded, "Mhm, I sure did," I continue to place my items at the register as she scans them.

"Do you have a rewards card with us?" She asks, swiping an item and placing it in the plastic bag.

"No ma'am, I don't." I shake my head, "I don't really have an interest in one, either."

She nods, "Well if you ever do, feel free to ask so we can sign you up, okay?"

I chuckle, but nod. She finishes up scanning my items and I pay, taking the few plastic bags and quickly shuffling out of the building.

While I may be a criminal, I'm not gonna hold a cashier to gun point... or should I say, arrow tip, for a few bags of groceries. I have enough money for that purpose.

Once I arrive back in my lair, I place the cans on the small shelf, along with the loaf of bread and gallon of water. I open the small mini fridge I have, placing the milk, orange juice, bacon and eggs inside along with the butter.

I tend to have delicious, home-made breakfasts and then I'll either eat leftovers for lunch, or just eat a piece of bread. At dinner I'll crack open a can of whatever and cook that, eat it and anything leftover gets saved for the next day's lunch.

I stand up, shuffling over to my desk. My eyes shift over the many sharp objects that rest on top of a map with scribbled notes upon it.

I hear a quiet thump behind me. I grab the dagger and spin on my heel, throwing the item in the direction of it.

"Jesus, you're on edge, huh?" The female voice mutters, dropping the dagger she'd caught in her hand.

I stare at her, "Mia- what the- what the hell are you doing here. How did you find me-"

She steps further into the room from the hallway, cutting me off, "William has a knack."

I stare at her, before nodding, "That uhm.. makes sense."

She glances around, "Sweet place you have. It looks... comfy." She looks at the various weapons that lay around.

I grab another dagger, gripping it's handle in my hand, "What are you doing here?" I ask her.

She looks at me, "You dropped off the radar for several weeks. I think anybody would be worried if a skilled villain like yourself did that." She hums.

"Yeah? Well maybe I just wanted to try and live a normal life." I shrug my shoulders.

"On edge, living in an abandoned apartment building?" She asks, raising an eyebrow.

"I-" I go to speak but she cuts me off, "Whats got you so scared?"

I stare at her, before turning away. "Was there any other reason why you came here?"

I hear her sigh, and then approaching foot steps.

"God, you're difficult." She mutters, standing beside me.

I glance over at her, before looking back down at the desk, "Thanks."

There's a minute of absolute silence. Nothing can be heard except for our own breathing.

"You can go now." I mumble.

I feel her hand on my shoulder, as she forces me to face her, "Y/n. I'm not just gonn-" She's cut off, as her hand slaps to the back of her neck. She pulls out a tranq dart.

"What the?" She collapses to the ground as I feel something in my neck.

"M- Mia... oh god.." I grab onto the table, trying to hold myself up, but failing as I fall to the ground. I see shuffling figures as they grab Mia. One notices I'm still conscious, and swipes me across the face with a large object.

And everything... goes... black...
