"Here is your food," William hands me a bag of big belly burger. I mumble a thank you and walk off the platform, away from the crowd."Hey, why don't you stay and hang out with us?" Zoe asks, looking at me, "We don't bite."
I glance at her, before staring directly at John and Lyla, "But they do." I glare at them before continuing on my way, over to the large glass table in the corner of the bunker, sitting down and beginning to munch on my food.
"Y/n.."
I look up, staring at my mom, Lyla. I stay dead silent, stuffing another fry in my mouth.
"We're sorry." She steps closer, but I shake my head.
"Sorry doesn't fix what happened." I eat another fry, "Now let me eat in peace, please."
"Y/n, please. How can we fix what happened between us?" Lyla pleaded.
I let out a deep breath, looking back to her, "You can't. I was sixteen. And you left me there. All alone. Because you both decided that your relationships with the boys were more important the the one you had with me. Hell, you could've brought me along, but no. I didn't have the chance to grow up with my brothers. I wasn't given the chance to make friends, meet new people."
The room goes dead silent. Everyone clearly heard what I had to say.
Connor appears behind Lyla, "Hey I uh.. I called JJ. He's going to be here tomorrow sometime."
I look at Connor, "Great, a family reunion..."
I continue to eat. Lyla opens her mouth to speak, but she shuts it.
——
Several hours have passed since Lyla and I's conversation. John and Lyla left back to their hotel. Everyone else is still here, unfortunately...
"So, what's your plan with me, now?" I call out, rocking back and forth in the swivel chair as I stare into the ceiling.
"What do you mean?" Zoe asks, watching me from the punching bag.
"I mean, like, what are you doing with me now? I came here a prisoner, and now what?" I raise an eyebrow.
Zoe looks over to Mia, "Whats your thoughts, Mia?"
Mia stays silent, eyeing me from the computers. Her arms crossed over her chest, "I don't know.. we'll keep you here for now. Free to roam, unless you try anything stupid."
I stare at her, before nodding.
"So, I'm still a prisoner. Got it." I nod my head.
"Yeah, a dangerous one. Who has some important information." Mia steps over to me.
"Like, for example, Barry Ledger. How'd you get in contact with him?"
"An advertisement." I smirk up at her. Her expression changes, it was almost as if she was staring daggers into me.
"Aw, come on. Take a joke, babe." My smirk only grows.
She scoffs, glancing away before back at me, "Would you quit calling me pet names? It's getting annoying."
"Oh, what, you don't like it? Too bad." I stand up, stretching out my limbs, "I've been stuck in this bunker for weeks and I'm getting bored, I think you can deal with a few pet names."
That was all it took for her to grab ahold of me, kicking my legs out from beneath me. I yell as I come in contact with the floor.
"Fuck you!" I yell. I go to push myself up, but I feel her foot on my back, "First, I'm sure you would, but I'll pass. And second, call me one more pet name and I'll do more than kick you to the ground."
