"Oh my god, this place is beautiful." Jin's looked around in awe, his eyes trying to take everything in as they were led into the Throne room. "I'm never going to find my way around this place."
The page who was escorting the six boys stopped in front of a beautifully carved set of doors, opening them wide and ushering them in. Even Yoongi couldn't help but look around in shock, he had only seen this room once before, and he had been much younger, but he remembered it being darker, the heavy drapes covering the windows darker.
Jimin started to step forward, seeing Tae sitting on one of the thrones at the front of the room, his body was automatically drawn towards his friend. A guard stepped in front of him, blocking his way to his soulmate, and he let out an involuntary whimper. He was so close, and now, with this guard in front of him, he couldn't even see his friend.
"It's ok, Kwan, they are friends. These six would never hurt me." The boys were shocked, sure Tae had a deep voice in school, but somehow it was deeper, like a smooth velvet wrapping its way around you. The guard moved, and Tae smiled down at them, "I'd love a hug Jiminie."
That was all it took to send Jimin flying towards the taller man, jumping up and engulfing him in a hug. The other five were a little slower, but they made their way towards the hugging boys, either joining in on a hug or patting Tae's back in hello.
Tae's eyes met Hobi's, and something in them finally gentled, "Hobi, thank god." He let go of Jimin and enveloped Hobi in a fearsome hug, so happy the boys had finished the work they all started, so happy to see a much better Hobi standing amongst them. "I have missed you so much."
"I've missed you to Taetae."
Tae just laughed. "God, I haven't been called that in forever." He looked over at his guard, "I'm done for the day if you need me.. well, don't need me, I'm done." He turned back to his friends, ushering them out of the Throne room and into a small adjoining sitting room. "Please get comfortable. We have so much to catch up on, but not much time, I'm afraid."
"Well, actually.."
"We're staying for an additional week. Sorry babe, I couldn't help myself, too excited." Jungkook sent Namjoon a look of apology. "We already have reservations at this gorgeous hotel."
"Wait. Are you serious? You're all staying longer?" His voice rising in his excitement, a grin taking over his face.
"Yep, we wanted to make sure we would have extra time with you, but we knew you would be super busy," Hoseok explained.
"Well, you can cancel your reservations and stay here. I assigned you all the family suite. It's sort of like an entire wing, but with the bedrooms branching off a common sitting room. Normally that would go to one of the incoming dignitaries and their family, but I over-ruled that since you are my family. So please stay."
"We would be honored, Taehyung."
"Please, Jin, in private, call me Tae or TaeTae. It's been too long since I've been called that, and I honestly miss it. However, in public, it will have to be Your Highness; I'm sorry. I'm not too fond of it, and if I had my choice, you wouldn't have to call me that, but some rules can't be broken. Now I know it's a bit of a car ride getting here, even in a limo, so let me show you your rooms." He stands up, motioning for the others to follow. Four hallways later, and he's opening another massive set of doors, leading them into the beautiful sitting room they will all be sharing.
Saying this was a mere sitting room was a tragic understatement. The beautiful cream carpet, the heavy gold draperies, the pale blue velvet sofas. Namjoon trailed his fingers along the back of one of the matching chairs, looking around fondly before looking back at Tae. "I'm so proud of you, Taetae."
"Don't be hyungie. I didn't do this on my own; I inherited it."
"Yes, but you stepped up when you could have run. That takes determination and grit. Especially when I know, it was the last place you wanted to be."
"He's right, Tae. We're all proud of you." Yoongi spoke up, also looking around the room. "And if I remember right, this castle did NOT look like this before, so you've obviously been making quite a few upgrades since you took over."
"Oh well yeah. It was so dark, not at all like when Jin would spell our music room at Hogwarts. He always made it so light and bright, somewhere you actually wanted to spend time. That was my inspiration." Tae admitted shyly. "Dinner is at 7, it's not required, but I really hope to see you all there."
He turned and left, leaving them all standing there looking around.
"Rock paper scissors for the best room?" Yoongi suggested.
Jungkook grabs a sheet of paper. "Nope, ghost leg. You guys take a look around while I set this up."
"There are technically 5 rooms here. Do we really need to play a game to grab a room?" Namjoon questioned.
"He has a point. This is a palace, you guys; I hardly doubt the rooms are going to suck." Hobi pointed to the 5 doors branching off of the sitting room. "Jiminie, do you want to sleep with me, or do you want your own room?" He looked at Jimin, letting him know whatever he decided on was ok.
