A Chorus of Antics

Jungkook's conversation with the Headmistress went about as well as expected. Part of her was in shock that such a thing would happen at Hogwarts, and the other part, well, the other part, wasn't surprised considering how nice and how genuinely Jungkook cared about those he helped. Of course, someone would want to take advantage of that fact. With Jungkook's permission, she sent out a memo to the rest of the Professors apprising them of the situation and keeping an eye and ear out if they heard anything. She also installed a camera in his office and one in the parking lot so they could try and keep an eye out on anyone who came in and out of his office.

At home, Jungkook and Namjoon kept the door locked, even when they were there. Only those who had keys, like Hobi and Jimin, could get in without being let in.

The last few weeks had been quiet. Lots of time was spent over at Tae's house, even to the point of often bringing Cypher with them to play in the massive yard with Tannie. It was one of those days, and Jungkook had decided to play out there with the dogs while the others stayed more on the back deck.

"Ok, now Tannie, did you tell Cypher what's going on?" Jungkook questioned the small dog, rubbing his belly when he flopped over onto his back.

"Yep, he knows." Tannie licked Jungkooks arm before rolling back over and running off to chase his giant friend around.

"It's cute how you talk to them like you can understand them." Yoongi lays next to him, resting his head on Jungkooks lap, much as Tannie had just done.

"Eh, sometimes it helps to voice your thoughts out loud, ya know."

"So Joon said things have been quiet lately..."

"Yeah. Whatever happened has stopped. I honestly think it's all over, and we can go back to normal hyung. It's freeing not to have to worry about it anymore." He plays with the slightly curly ends of Yoongi's hair. "I like the blonde hyung; it makes you look cuter than normal."

"Heh, thanks, Kookie. But no one can match your cuteness." Or cluelessness, but that's part of the charm, I suppose. "Are you guys staying tonight?"

"Mmm. Yeah, we just have to run Cypher home, give him his meds, get him all settled, and whatnot. Grab stuff, that sort of thing." He loved playing with Yoongi's hair. It was always so soft and fluffy, and he loved when he let it grow long enough to curl a bit.

"Can't wait. We haven't had all of us together in what, 3 weeks or so?" The sleepy elder mused. "I mean, you've all been here, but you guys haven't stayed the night or anything."

"Yeah, I do love the cuddle piles we all make.

"Hey guys, dinner is done; come get it!" Namjoon hollered from up on the deck. Hobi had been operating the grill, making chicken and burgers to go along with the pasta and salads Jin had made up earlier.

Jungkook stood up, scooping Yoongi up in his arms and carrying him up towards the house, depositing him in one of the chairs next to Jin.

"I don't see why you guys don't just let Cypher stay here with you tonight. Tannie loves the company." Tae points over at the two dogs who were lounging on the grass nearby. Tannie was laying across Cypher's paws as they laid there all quiet.

"Either way, we still need to go back home; his meds are there." Namjoon pointed out.

"He's only on the antibiotics, right?" Jimin asked. He looked between Kook and Joon, seeing them nod. "Ok, well, I have samples here for the shelter. If you know what his dose is, he can just take one of those; then no one has to leave."

Jungkook looks over at Joon, who just lifted a brow and answered back. "Up to you, babe; he's your doggo."

"He's OUR doggo, but yeah, that works for me if it's ok with you, Jiminie." He shoots his boyfriend his bright bunny smile.

"If it weren't ok, I wouldn't have suggested it, but yay, now we don't have to wait for you guys to come back to snuggle together." Jimin's wiggled his butt in his seat, not even trying to hide his happiness.

"You're so cute when you get excited, hyung." Tae smiled at his small soulmate.

The next day found Jungkook cleaning up around the house while Cypher was running around outside. He was blaring songs from their high school days, dancing around singing along while dusting and vacuuming. He was so zoned out that he didn't realize Namjoon and Hobi were standing in the doorway, watching him with matching grins on their faces.

"Jiminie is going to be really mad he missed this."

"Mmm. Maybe, but I'm sure the video I'm taking will help make up for it." Hobi had his phone aimed at their boyfriend, capturing him being adorable, right up to the moment when he turned around and saw them standing there, letting out a shriek and clutching his chest with one hand and ripping his headphones off with the other.

"Fucking hell, you two!" The hand he had resting on his chest could feel how fast his heart was beating. "How long have you been standing there?"

"Only since the chorus," Hobi admitted, seeing the relief on the younger man's face.

"The chorus from four songs ago." Namjoon grins and points at Hobi's phone.

"Ahh crap." Jungkook looks at them both, sizing them up before shaking his head sadly. "No chance I could bribe you to delete it?"

"And have Jiminie beat me for not sharing? Not a chance, love." Hobi stopped the recording, sending it to the group chat all seven of them had before walking over and kissing Jungkook. "How was your day, Kookie?"

"Well, it was fantastic until about 10 minutes ago. Thanks for asking." A series of dings had him pulling his phone out of his back pocket, swiping it open, and chuckling when he read the texts that were quickly coming through from the rest of the group.

Namjoon wraps his arms around Jungkook from behind, resting his chin on his shoulder. "The house looks great, babe. Jin and the rest of them invited us back over; he's making a new recipe and wants to test it on us before deciding whether or not to make it for the soup kitchen."

"Hell yeah, free food. Let me just get Cypher back inside and give him his meds, and we can go." He snuggles back against Namjoon, a soft smile on his face. "What trouble did you two get into today?"

"Nothing major, no cops were called." Hobi watches them, a smile on his face and love shining in his eyes.

"Oh well, that's a relief. I would say I'm being sarcastic, but I'd be more worried if Yoongles were with you."

Namjoon pulled away, walking out of the room, and they could hear the patio door open and him calling for Cypher before moving over to a cupboard, assumably to get the antibiotics for the dog so they could go.

Jungkook pats at his pockets, making sure he has his wallet, finding them empty since he hadn't planned on going anywhere. His eyes scanning the room, looking for it but not finding it nearby.

"Table by the door."

"Huh?"

"Your wallet is on the table by the door. In the pretty glass bowl, you guys throw your keys and stuff in when you come in. I saw it when Joon and I walked into the house." Hobi pointed to the table across the room.

"Thanks, babe."

"You guys ready?" Namjoon walked back in, Cypher following quietly behind him, looking up at Jungkook with sad eyes.

"We'll be home tonight, buddy, I promise." Jungkook crouched down, petting his four-legged friend, laying his head gently on the dogs to whisper that he had a new rawhide bone on his bed in their room and that he had quietly left the radio on in there, knowing from a previous conversation that Cypher liked music and hated the quiet when he was alone. They had come up with the compromise of soft music, so Cypher wouldn't feel as lonely when his humans weren't there with him.
