With the mission closing to a start, everyone was making their preparations. As for Eternal Feather and Y/N (who were now dating), they were getting ready but Mai was scared of her Meister dying, Jessica and Spirit were having second thoughts of the consequences, and Soul and Maka secretly training to face the impossible. But when they soon arrive at their coordinates, it gets worse when a witch starts to wreak havoc.

Narrator's POV

It was the afternoon almost getting close to nighttime, meaning everybody was preparing for bed but Soul, Maka, Y/N, and Mai were going to Italy. While in Death City Jessica was scheduled to meet up with Stein and the others about crimes that committed yesterday and Mai and her Meister going to Italy as they already left the household... as for Maka and Soul, they were already riding the bus to the airport

Maka's POV

I was looking out the window at the sun setting, I was then thinking about the mission until Soul called my name

Soul: Hey Maka are you okay?

I looked at Soul who was worried

Maka: I'm okay

Soul: Are you sure? 

Maka: I'm positive! But...

I somehow felt my words stuck in my throat

Soul: But what?

I felt sadness overwhelm me

Maka: I think that this mission won't be easy 

Soul: What are you saying, Maka? We were practising with Akame and her Sister

Maka: (sigh) I know but something was going on in my head. What would happen if we failed?

Soul lowered his head looking sad, he then spoke

Soul: I don't know (looks at Maka). But I know that we'll make it through

Maka: I'm not so sure, 'cause I got a feeling something will happen if we screw up

Soul: You're overreacting Maka. Akame was only giving us a warning to stay safe

I then remembered what she said to us while we were visiting them

Flashback...

Akame's POV

I was in the backyard sparring with Maka. Soul and Kurome were in weapon form and Maka was trying to catch her breath as she gripped the handle 

Akame: It seems your keeping up. But you can go faster than that.

Maka: I am keeping up even though you're striking with so much force

Akame: Do you really think I would be easy on you? You should know to never underestimate your opponent

Kurome: (in weapon form) She's got a point, you have to fight at your full potential 

Maka: I get it Kurome

???: That's good, but you still have a long way to go

We saw Jeffrey sitting on the stairs as Blair (who was in base form) was drinking a glass of mal-I mean milk. I was glaring at Jeff

Maka: Why aren't you training? I mean you're a Meister too

Blair: He sprang his wrist while exercising which is why he's sitting out

Jeffery lifted his right hand showing it was bandaged

Maka: Okay then 

Soul: What down you mean she's holding back?
