In the previous Episode, death has assigned his fellow students to a test for extra credit, after defeating the Zombie Sid Barret, Y/N and Mai along with their friends then went up against the elite Meister Franken Stein. A battle that almost led to a tragic event, Death, Jessica, Liz, and Patty (who's examining Y/N) witness the battle before them to see how the students progress. During the fight, everyone is left stunned when Stein 'kills' Y/N which lead to Akame and Kurome Awakening A Certain spell from within after they pass the test, Akame and her younger Sister are held in Medusa's care until they recover and start to talk about their friends' condition. However Y/N tells Eternal Feather that a certain 'dream' led to him confessing his 'feelings' to Mai, she didn't know what to do after hearing the confession except tell her feelings after realizing they're in 'love' with each other. Despite taking their relationship slow, a battle begins to unfold as Death the Kid makes his grand entrance to the DWMA

Mai's POV
Y/N and I were standing on the balcony of the Academy top floor staring at the view of Death City, he was sitting on the ledge while I was standing next to him, he stated that he wanted to see the 'new kid' but...
Mai; Hey Y/N
Y/N; *looks at me* What is it Mai?
Mai: Sure you want to see the new student but we should head to class before we get in trouble for skipping
He sighed in frustration at the thought of Stein being our 'teacher', he then looked up looking annoyed

Mai: You just have to appreciate Stein for doing everything for helping us 'pass' and since he's a teacher here at the DWMA we have to accept it rather you like it or not
Y/N: *sighs* Fine then Eternal Feather but if Stein does anything that's not work-related as a teacher then the blame is going on him, not the students got that?
Mai: It will be, besides it's not like he's going to do anything reckless
Y/N: I trust Uncle Stein but as a teacher, I'm not sure but still. He's more of a scientist than that am I right?
Mai: Yeah, but he has no choice
Y/N; I guess you're right still I wonder how the others are doing in the class I hope Stein is not doing anything crazy
