splash!

Summer started like any other day, the weather was warm and the days seemed to go on forever, as much as I hated school I missed my friends and it was only the first day of the summer break.

I woke up in my dark green and black queen bed, feeling the cloud-like sheets between below and above me it felt like a giant hug. The sun shining right through my window onto my sheets causing a soft glow.

I got out of my bed and decided to go and have a shower to wake myself up, I went to my wardrobe and pulled out a pair of loose and airy black shorts and a white t-shirt. I went to my bathroom which was connected to my bedroom, I walked over to my shower and turned the handle causing warm water to flow through the showerhead. I quickly got undressed and stepped into the shower cleaning myself fully using a vanilla body wash.

I quickly dried up and put my new set of clothes on, brushed my teeth, and threw my hair into a messy bun.

I then made my way downstairs into the lounge room so I could greet my parents a good morning, but once I made it into the lounge room I found that the Malfoy family were all downstairs with my parents sitting on the couches.

"Good morning all" I greeted as I sat beside my father on the couch.

"Good morning Sylvia" Narcissa greeted as she stood up and brought me into a warm and welcoming hug.

"If I knew you were coming, I would have presented myself nicer," I said with a little bit of a chuckled.

"No matter, it was only short notice," said Lucius as he looked at me slightly displeased for some unusual reason.

I looked to the blonde boy who sat beside Lucius who had an annoyed expression plastered on his face, clearly someone woke up on the wrong side of the bed.

"Oh Sylvia, I heard about the exam results from Draco, he told me that you both tied for second in your year behind the muggle-born" Lucius added with a slight disguised laced in his voice.

"Well Hermione is a very intelligent girl, she works hard and gets results," I said, standing up for Hermione in a way I then looked back to Draco who was shooting me death glares and slightly shaking his head

"You and Draco deserve first in your year, muggle-borns have no place here," said Lucius with even more disgust he looked disappointed in me for sticking up for Hermione.

"I sure hope you aren't friends with the muggle-born are you Sylvia?" my father asked turning his focus to me.

I looked back at Draco who began shaking his head slightly again unnoticeable to anyone but me, I then looked back at my father "Well father, I was just going to inform you but I'm sure the school had already informed you of the recent events that transpired in the dungeons of Hogwarts and how I basically saved Harry Potters life. Harry just happens to be very close to Hermione but I've made sure to cut any ties I have had with them after recent events". I looked over to Draco again who had a slightly shocked expression on his face.

"Ah yes, well Dumbledore did owl us about that and we did come and see you the first day you were unconscious, we are very proud of you for helping the school but I would much rather if you didn't get yourself killed" my father replied.

I glanced at my mother who looked sorrowful when my father said 'get myself killed' I suppose they don't want what happened to Oscar to happen to me.

"May I ask what happened to make you want to cut ties with the blood traitors?" Lucius asked as he took a sip of his tea.

"Oh, nothing to be discussed now Mr. Malfoy just some personal issues we had," I said calmly "but I must excuse myself I am quite hungry, would any of you like anything?".
