TIME IS AN INTERESTING CONCEPT, SO INTERESTING IN FACT, THAT IT DOESEN'T EVEN EXIST. It's just another human creation to be in control. But the reality is, that is time that controls humans and not the other way. They wake up at a certain hour, establish at what time they should eat, and when it's dark outside they go to sleep because it just makes sense!
When in reality, time isn't there to force us physically to do so, in fact, we could stop doing it and nothing would change. But they are all prisoners of time, whether they like it or not.
A Charms assignment? Due for Tuesday. Food is served? At twelve. Monday. Tuesday. Wednesday and so on don't exist. Is just another name for air.
The past, the present, and the future are different though. They vanish, becoming mere memories when time passes. Time again, a second just gone by, and look a minute, they're losing time as if we could afford it. When in reality they can't. They can't go back time to change the things they did wrong. Is that so?
Time made Hermione stress out, it overpowered her, Rory noticed, it was a matter that stressed her too. But still, she went to her classes as if she could possess the time and control it. Something impossible, isn't it?
How wrong she was.
"We're about to come out!" Hermione breathes.
Now, Rory was staring at the back door of Hagrid's hut. Her present self —so herself, watching her past self walking out of the house, innocent, completely oblivious to what was going to happen in just mere minutes.
It was a strange sensation, like looking in a mirror, she was there and she was talking to Hermione, Harry, and Ron, something that was part of her daily routine. But know instead of looking at her friends, she was looking at herself too doing it? Did it make sense? Was she going already mad? Also, she had in consideration that the person in front of her wasn't her anymore, now she had more information, she wasn't oblivious at all.
She was someone new changed from the events of the past, that it shouldn't exist anymore but they are living it again? (She wants to hit her head against a wall to stop the thundering thoughts).
"It's okay, Beaky, it's okay. . ." Hagrid said to Buckbeak. "Go on. Get goin'."
"Hagrid, we can't —"
"We'll tell them what really happened —"
''Hagrid, please—''
"They can't kill him —"
Rory watches Hagrid ushering them to leave, Hermione threw the cloak over them and they were gone.
And now the scene she wasn't able to live before.
There was a knock on Hagrid's front door; Dumbledore, Fudge, Mcnair, and the other man. Rory gulps.
"Where is the beast?" came the cold voice of Macnair.
"Out — outside," Hagrid croaks.
Rory shots down just in time as Mcnair peeks out of the window. ''We should have brought the cloak with us. . . No —wait, we already have the cloak, so how would that work?'' she whispers, ''We got the cloak before dinner, but in the Hospital we could've get it again. . . So there would be two cloaks? Because —
Harry frowns at her. ''Actually, that's a very good question. . . Hermione —?''
She shushes both of them, it was obviously not the time. But Rory was still trying to understand the thought of her being sent three hours before everything went down.
