2 Years Later

Sandhya Pov

It's been two years since everything got right in my married life. Life with Akash is awesome. He did what he had promised me to do. He gave me a lots and lots of new memories and made our life way better than before.

Tomorrow is our fifth year wedding anniversary but he might not be here with me to celebrate our special day. Why? Because he went on an important and unavoidable business trip.

Flaws of being a top businessman.

I really hate his business trips from the bottom of my heart but what to do? Work is important for my workaholic husband.

Akash went on his trip seven days ago. I was also going to accompany him in this trip but at the peak moment I fall sick and my mother in law strictly restricted me to even put a step out of my room. So, he left me alone and I got trapped in this room which seems boring without Akash.

Right now I am roaming around in my room back and forth and biting my nails.

It seems like I am very much tensed right?

No, I am not tensed. I am super excited because I have planned an awesome surprise from my dear husband and I can't wait to give him that surprise.

'Tring Tring Tring...'

I heard the ringing sound of my cellphone and without wasting any second I answered the call.

"What's the situation Satvik?", I enquired hopefully and crossed my fingers to get a positive response from him.

"Ummm!", He hesitated and I understood that the situation is not in my favour.

"It's okay Satvik. Where is he?", I enquired sadly.

"I am sorry Adhya. These investors want to held one more meeting which is scheduled for tomorrow. Trust me. I and Akash tried our level best to convince them but they were so adamant. They even gave us the ultimatum to call off the deal.", He said.

"It's okay Satvik. Where is he?", I repeated my question.

I am not interested in any of his excuses. I personally don't understand what's the use of earnings this much money when you can't even spend your special day with your loved ones?

"He is still stuck in the meeting.", He said.

"Good, Tell your friend to call me immediately the moment he gets some free time.", I said and disconnected the call.

I didn't want to listen any of his baseless explanations. It is just a mere deal. How it can be more important than his wife's happiness? It's not like our company will go bankrupt and we will come on the roads if we don't get that deal.

A lone tear rolled out of my eyes, I wiped it abruptly. No, I won't cry It's not the right time to get weak. It's time to teach him a lesson and to make him realise my importance in his life.

I move towards my closet and took out some clothes. I angrily packed my luggage and went towards my in-laws room.

I noticed that the door of their room is already open.

"Maa.", I called her.

"Come Adhya beta.", She said.

"Maa I want to visit my parents house and stay with them for some days. Can I?", I asked her.

She raised her eyebrows questioningly and observed me keenly. I averted my gaze and started looking here and there except her eyes to avoid any sort of eye contact with her. She has the tendency to read my eyes like an open book.
