A couple days later, you, Jacob, Younghoon, Sunwoo and Haknyeon went to the animal shelter to start your search.
In all honestly, you were nervous.
You had no idea why. Maybe because you had been a large feline person all of your life, and the puppies and dogs would sense that, then they wouldn't like you.
"Are you Minji Han?" The young woman at the front desk asked.
"Yes ma'am."
"Awesome." She smiled. "Let me take you to the purebred area."
You and the boys walked behind her, and Jacob leaned in. "You don't actually have to get a puppy, it was just a suggestion. You look like you're about to faint."
You laughed nervously. "What if the dogs don't like me?"
"How could they not like you?" Younghoon pointed out.
You wrung your hands as you entered the purebred room, and your heart instantly melted. The puppies ran up to you, their ears perked, their tongues out, and their heads tilted.
You bent down and they jumped on you, but one in particular was really catching your attention. A playful, fluffy little ball of sunshine: a black shiba inu.
You picked him up and he put his paws on your chest and his head in between them, looking up at you with big lovable eyes.
You turned to the guys to ask them what they thought, but they were occupying the other puppies.

You ended up adopting the pricey, yet absolutely worth it, shiba inu. He was a boy and you decided to name him after part of your favorite human boy's pin name, Bug. Like the cutest baejoonbug you knew, your new puppy was sweet and cuddly.
"Bug?" Changmin cooed when you told him the name. "After... Jacob!"
"Ding ding ding." You smiled.
Kevin slapped Jacob's shoulder in a sort of admiration, pouting slightly. "I've never had an animal named after me, lucky."
Jacob was blushing profusely, he didn't really know how to react to everyone thinking the name was so cute. He was flattered, to say the least.
You put your puppy on the floor, as you had been holding him to your chest for quite a while. He wagged his tail and started prancing around in your living room. Hyunjoon was absolutely in love with Bug, so he got on his knees and waited for the puppy to come around the corner of the couch.
When he did, he got in a pouncing position, so Hyunjoon copied him and it was the cutest thing you had probably ever seen your brother do.
You watched them play for a few moments until you felt arms snake around your waist and a chin on your good shoulder.
"Are you happy that I suggested a puppy?" Jacob asked.
You turned your head so that you could kiss his head. "I am. Thank you. Hopefully Trick is watching down on him and protecting him from any danger."
You heard a weird noise and looked passed Jacob and to Eric, who had his mouth over his hand. "Eric?" You questioned.
He looked at you with sad eyes. "I'm sorry, but that was so sad."
"Agreed." Hyunjae said. "Very sad."
You laughed. "I didn't mean for it to be sad, you guys. I was being serious."
"Minji!" You looked at Hyunjoon, who was holding Bug in his lap and cupping his little face. "Look how precious."
You narrowed your eyes. "You were never this nice to Trick?"
"I was scared of her for a very long time, Minji. She was a huge tiger and Bug is a little puppy. By the time I learned to love Trick, her face was too big for me to do this."
You had to give it to him, he was right. You turned in Jacob's hold to face him and gave him a quick, tight hug.
