Izumi woke up bright and early the next day around 5:59 pm brimming with motivation. She sat at her desk and pulled out several clean sheets of paper and a blue felt pen to formulate a decent and civilized letter. She decided that she would leave the letter in her bedroom.
'I should get to writing Mom the letter. It would be rude to just leave without saying goodbye. After today, I'll be up early in the morning and gone,' Izumi thought to herself as she began to convey her thoughts onto the paper.
Dear Loving Mother,
Thank you so much for your humility
'Humility!? What is this, a college paper?' Izumi thought. Whiting out the word, she thought of a more understandable word choice.
Dear Mom,
Thank you so much for your love and kindness. As a mother, you taught me to treasure humanity and life values before anything thing else. Please-
'Please what?' Izumi thought to herself irritated. She crossed out that line and cursed her horrible writing skills.
'This is so hard! I'll just do whatever,' Izumi shrugged as she pulled out a new piece of paper and started writing from the bottom of her heart.
Dear Mom,
Thank you so much for your love and kindness. As a mother, you taught me to treasure humanity and life values before anything thing else. I love you but after the party incident and reminiscing on the past, I realized that a hero career is not really suited for me. I know you were my biggest supporter, but now all of that is going down the drain. But I will always remember the life lessons you've taught me all of my life.
I've decided to move out of this city and explore the world. I don't think I want to live in the same town all my life. I found a nice studio apartment and two jobs. I can't tell you where they are but they are appropriate, safe, and pays well. I just need time to think about my life and stand on my own two feet.
I will pray for your safety from afar and please don't worry about me. I'll come to visit someday, but not so soon.

"Izumi," Inko called from downstairs.
'Shoot! I can't show her this,' Izumi thought as she scrambled to get the letter hidden. She placed the letter on the bottom of her draw and covered it with books and writing utensils, hoping to avoid suspicion.
"Come down, Breakfast is ready," she seemed a lot more upbeat than the past gloomy week.
Izumi quickly rushed down the stairs and planted a kiss on her mother's cheek.
"Morning, Mom! Oh, you made bacon and eggs for breakfast," Izumi said happily.
The two settled into the kitchen and dug into the food. The bacon and eggs were fried to the perfect temperature.
"Care for some salt, dear?" Inko was in a really great mood. And the fact that Izumi was finally eating and happy made her even happier.
"No thanks, it tastes fine just the way it is," Izumi replied whilst chugging the food down.
The two greenettes munched away at the delicious meal while engaging in a lively chat; a mother-daughter bond. The blank 7 days with no communication felt like years, and it was really nice to finally chat happily.
