Three young women sit in the forest, each surrounded by their own ring of fire. A werewolf- child of the moon, a vampire- a bloodsucking undead woman, and a doppelganger- a shadow of one's original self.

Three young goddesses, presenting themselves at an altar for sacrifice in the name of nature.

"The moon has passed his apex. Do you remember what to do?", a witch- a servant of nature, glances to her master, brushing her fingers over the cursed milky white stone.

"I have been waiting for a thousand years. I remember, love."

"Then let's begin.", and the witch starts chanting. She drops the stone into a sacred bowl and it ignites with fire. The ground beneath them starts to vibrate with an unusual amount of power. This is not supposed to be a side effect of this spell, but no one thought much of it.

It wasn't important, apparently.

The powerful man steps forward to the three young ladies in the rings of fire. He looks to the she-wolf who is on the ground writhing in pain.

"Everything I did was for Tyler. I was trying to help him. I just didn't want him to be alone.", she sobs in pain to the brunette girl. The ring of fire around the wolf diminishes and the man approaches the crying woman.

"Shall we love?", he asks with a smile, causing the woman to glare at him, eyes bright yellow. She jumps up and rushes at the man, who prepares for her impending charge.

Right when she gets to jump on him, he grabs her and flips her over, landing with his fist in her chest, clenched around her heart. The man brings his other hand up to brush her tear-stained cheeks.

"Thank you, love.", he whispers softly in her ear, and then he rips out her heart.

Step one is done. The werewolf is dead.

The man then stands and brings the heart to the sacred bowl by the witch who is still chanting. He squeezes the heart, letting the blood drop into the bowl, creating a boil.

"Tell me this is working.", he demands his witch. She smiles slightly and nods,

"It's working!"

After the heart has been drained of blood, he moves to the next part of his ritual, the vampire. The fire burns away, leaving the frightened woman open and vulnerable.

"I'll make this quick.", Klaus promises the woman and stakes her before she can respond.

Step two is now done. The vampire is dead.

He grabs some of her blood and pours it into the burning bowl, making the fire get bigger. He looks at his witch, who gives him a firm nod. The powerful man then turns to the last woman, still in a ring of fire staring on with a traumatized gaze.

The witch burns her fire out and the man approaches her, and holds a hand out to her. She just glares at him, and with a last action of defiance, turns her chin up and stalks past him to the witch, bumping shoulders with the man.

He just smirks and stalks after her joining the two women. He grabs the doppelganger's face and looks her in the eyes. The witch chants louder and louder.

"Thank you, Elena.", he tells her.

"You go to hell.", Elena spits back with hatred. And then the man goes behind her, brushes her hair off of her shoulder and bites her neck, draining her blood. He drinks every last drop of her blood, and he drops the now dead woman to the ground, her body landing at his feet.
