starbucks?

We finish bringing all the boxes down and get in the van. Dan starts it up and pulls away from our old flat. I stare at it until it is out of view, we had some great memories there.

I fumble with my sweater sleeves growing anxious as we get closer. "Hey dan?" I mutter

"yes Phil?" He looks worried again , I feel so bad I don't mean to be this way, big changes just scare me.

"I- I don't think i'm ready to go to the house yet-"

"Well why don't we stop for some lunch, we can pay and park the van in a garage." Dan looked over at me a slightly tired look on his face.

Maybe lunch is a good idea "Yeah, that sounds great where do you want to go?" I look over at Dan gingerly.

"Starbucks for drinks and Subway for sandwiches?" He's looking at me all excited with a little pout on his face. There's no way I can say no to that.

"yeah, I think that sounds nice and guess what, I'm paying." I flash a wide grin at Dan.

"You spork, I didn't even get the chance to offer." I giggle a little bit and stick my tongue out. He's going to let me pay for once. Dan pulls in to the parking garage and pays the attendant. He gets out and walks over to my side.

"C'mon are you gonna get out?" He stared at me confused.

"um- it's kinda high I've never been in a moving van before, what if I fall getting down." I'm not really afraid of heights, but I fall all the time just walking.

"Oh, alright. Get on." Dan turned around indicating for me to hop on his back. I wrap my arms around him and he shuts the door. Immediately he starts sprinting down the garage nearly giving me a heart attack.

"DAN, WHAT THE HELL?"

"Sorry, you seemed embarrassed about getting out of the van so I was trying to cheer you up." he looked incredibly tired from carrying me down the garage and a little taken aback by my shouting.

"Wait.. don't be sad, you just scared me is all." I give him a peck on the cheek and grab his hand. "Now cmon I thought we were getting lunch."
