Once Dabi saw the shadow that carved out the knife's peculiar frame, he immediately ran upstairs, heavy feet crashing to the floor, chasing after you to make sure you were okay.

He tossed himself over each step making as much ruckus as humanly possible. Decking it up the stairs, he made sure to listen the best he could. He tried to listen for any noises ahead of him indicating  that your awake and rustling around or someone is in the room with you. But that's what he was wrong about.

Because the noises weren't coming from in front of him..

they were coming from behind him.

Coming to an immediate halt at the top of the tall and very-heighted stairway, he looked behind him only barely tilting his body. Peeking behind his eerie figure, he saw a physique of a man or woman. He wasn't sure, but he knew that if they had a knife, surely they could hurt you.

The cause of it being dark and being night was because of how late the doctor's appointment ended being. He knew that, so he used his quirk to light the blue and withering flame from the palm of his hand.

Blue fire lit up the spacious hallway, bringing the shadows to life. As Dabi moved, so did the shadows, but not in a way he liked. He spun around once to check his surroundings, then right when his gaze landed to where the figure was standing - or so he thought, it was.. gone. It had just vanished into thin air before Dabi. The man being clueless as to where the bitch with the knife went, it hit him.

(Y/N).

"She's in danger." He mumbled to himself, turning his head to the side like in a movie.

Thoughts about you and the criminal in your home ran through his mind. Gore-like ones. sad ones. Scary ones. Overall, he was nervous he would open the bedroom door and find you laying there, blood oozing from your body like lava from a volcano. Slowly.

'Is she safe?'

'Is she hurt?'

'If she is hurt, what do I-'

"First-aid kit. It in the linen closet-'

'What if she is in pain but okay?'

'What about the criminal?'

'Who is that person in my home?'

'Why are they here?'

'What do they have with my girlfriend that was break-in worthy?'

Rushing off over to your shared bedroom, his footsteps increasingly getting closer to your location, his heart rate spiked even faster. His breathing hitched even more. He wasn't tired from the wild goose-chase, but he was tired of putting you at a sense of unease.

Quickening his already fast pace, he twisted and turned through the hallway.

The hallway felt like a maze in his head. He felt like he was on a high running from cops or something in correlation.

"Why does this damned hallway feel like a maze?!" He shouted abruptly, definitely causing something in the house to stir.

Hearing the sound of something breaking, that's what really got his anger issues and daddy issues making a move-on.

The cuss-word alphabet was playing on repeat in his head.

Crashing through the hallway, he ran through the open arched doorway, proceeded to slip on the hallway's decoration rug. Catching himself before he takes said tumble to the floor, he gets up. Of course, just like in the movies.

Reaching the white paneled door, he saw it was creaked open, just to the slightest.

"Goddamn, might as well add the spy music and the 'dun dun dun' to it, too." He whispered to himself before shutting his eyes and taking a deep breath.

Then, he opened his eyes followed by the door.

'Please be okay.' He thought endlessly.

Nothing.

"What?" He shouted out to the empty room.

Being unsatisfied with the results of what he aimed and expected for, he stomped in like a taunting toddler ready to tattle-tale on their siblings. 'Baby' he screamed out. Nothing.

He walked over to the sheets in a hurry, expecting for you to be under the covers quietly resting. Nothing again. " Where did she go?" He asked himself.

He didn't want to be unsatisfied with the outcome of his findings, he only was because he thought he would see you and the culprit.

Just so he could save your ass and kick the other's.

But, like he realized previously, their was just an empty and dark room filled with the crammed and shushed sounds of the ringing silence. It burned his ear's and his heart to know that you were no where to be found. and the ringing was getting annoying.

Stepping out of the door frame, exiting the bedroom, he walked downstairs and was ready to head out of the house and search for you. Look through the streets, break into houses just like the culprit if he had to. He would do anything to find your precious soul so it could meet back with his.

In defeat, he sighed and grabbed his keys.

Placing a gentle touch to the plant at the end of the staircase, he finally stepped foot onto the main floor with the widely-spread living room and dining. Along with the kitchen.

" Damn. I really wonder what broke." He mumbled to himself.

" Oh, yeah, sorry about that. My bad. I should've been watching where I placed my feet, Dabi." A familiar voice called out to him.

His breathing hitched to the slightest.

'Is that who I think it is?' He thought as he tilted his grounded gaze upwards.

" Hey baby!" You called out, your soft voice reassuring him you were better than okay. He looked at your smile that plastered your features. Seeing no one beside you, he recognized that he just might've been hearing things. He shrugged it off and walked into the kitchen, kissing your cheek as he stepped in. You gave him a slight smirk with light blush cascading your soft cheeks. He smiled back and grabbed a bourbon glass.

Leaning down onto the ground, now in a crouched stance, he opened the black cupboard door, searching for the bourbon. " Hey princess, where is the Kentucky? Maybe some Old Crow?" He asked you.

" Oh, your friend has it!" You told him, taking a sip of your non-alcoholic Mamosa. Really just orange juice.

Dabi stood up and looked at you, now realizing you were pointing from behind him. He turned around.

" Hey Dabi! Long time no see, huh?"

" Oh, its you then."

"Toga."
