Caitlyn's POV
The rest of the concert was incredible. I felt like I had never experienced music in the same way before. The whole crowd really got into it too, girls were screaming and grabbing at Harry left and right when he approached the first row. I was almost pushed over by a girl trying to get his attention. I tried to ignore the chaos around me a just appreciate the music but damn these girls were loud. Harry's closing number was Sign of the Times which of course left half the audience in tears, it was absolutely breathtaking.
He clearly puts so much emotion into his music and it shows by the way he closes his eyes and tilts his head back to feel the music.
We've got to, we've got to get away
The high notes at end were so emotional it felt hard for me to even breath. Harry's hair was slightly wet and stuck to his face from bouncing around the stage so much. God he looked so good. It's crazy how you can feel so close to a celebrity in these vulnerable settings. It's so overwhelming to see someone so engrossed in what their doing, I think it's really inspiring. As soon as the song came to an end and the crowd started to disperse, Jess grabbed me by the hand and lead me through the crowd to the side of the bar.
" Where are we going" I asked with confusion
" We're going to meet Harry and the band!" Jess screeched
Oh god
"What?! I mean how, did you buy VIP tickets or something?"
"Nope, I told you Philip the drummer is a good friend, we went to secondary school together and he told me to see him after the show so we can meet the rest of the band...and Harry!"
It was clear she was so excited to see Philip. I wasn't really sure how close they were since she'd never mentioned him before over the summer but I was about to find out. I honestly don't know how I feel about meeting them I mean him not a super fan or anything but still, it feels like I'm going into a meet and greet situation.
" Don't worry it's not gonna be like a meet and greet session for 13 year olds. We're just meeting Philip and if the rest of the band is there, including Harry, than what can that hurt" She replied almost like she read my mind
"Ok, yeah you're right. No it'll be fun I'm fine I just wasn't expecting it." I was definitely nervous for some reason, I guess I just feel nervous about meeting new people anyway. I always try to put up this strong persona but in reality I get anxious about making friends or talking to guys way too often.
" Alright, let's do this" Jess exclaimed. She quickly turned around and grabbed the bottle of tequila from behind the bar while the bartender wasn't looking and took a big pull before handing it to me for a sip. She's such a rebel, how are we friends again? I guess opposites attract.
The rest of the venue was mostly empty at this point. Some fans stayed at the front of the stage to take pictures and probably hopefully catch a glimpse of the band packing up. We walked over to the side of the stage and up to the same security guard who let us in.
" Are you the one going to see Philip?" the scary bald man said to Jess as she walked up to him
" Yup that's us, wow it's like you almost read my mind"
" Or he told me a short, curly haired cheeky girl would be coming to see him. I'm only assuming that's you" he replied back with a smile. Aww I guess he wasn't that scary after all.
"You've got it!" she smiled back and patted his shoulder while walking through the backstage doors. She's definitely not shy. I gave the man a smile as she pulled me through the double doors and we walked down the hall to the room on the right that says Band Dressing Room in big letters.
