Yoongi’s POV

My parents were delighted to see me in the company of a young and beautiful woman, and my mom didn't even flinch in front of us.

Okay, I was lying.

She subtly asked her if she was single and it was everything that was closed to embarrassing, especially right now. Thankfully, the restaurant was full and they were busy working most of the time.

Yet, Young-Mi didn't miss any opportunity to tell my mom how good her dishes were as always and how happy she must be that her son was there with her after so long of wishing him to be back home.

This was probably the moment when my mom left us with her face all red. I knew that my mom was proud but not to this point.

“Parents are truly the sweetest during these moments,” she remarked with a smile.

“Right? My mom never took care of me this much, and she still takes care of me. Believe me,” I assured.

“They made me feel way better, it's refreshing to see all of this, far from the... problems.”

“I can only agree with you! Being here is like being cut from the real world, which only consists of boring meetings and other joyful but unimportant things,” I sarcastically complained.

“I miss being a wedding photographer,” she finally said. “It was always so nice to see all the happy faces... But well, I guess that at the moment, the further I am from the wedding, the better,” she joked and proceeded to drink some water.

“Well, if you don't mind it, the wedding I am planning for the couple is in a month's time. I mean, you can take pictures there. Only if you want to. No pressure.”

“I don't know...” she hesitated.

“Well, there will be free food, free very good food, my mom's food,” I added to make her decision easier, all with a smirk.

“It's unfair, I can't refuse now,” she joked back. “I guess I know what I'm doing next month then.”

“Great! I'll send you everything you need to know about the wedding!”

It felt great, it felt like finding love again. Through a soulmate. It felt like everything I needed but never wanted because I never knew that this could exist. It was one of the most laid back conversations I had and yet, the most appealing one.

Through anger, I was falling in love again. I knew I caught feelings like a wind, but you can never deny when you feel the bond, the soulmate bond. And this time I hoped that my heart wouldn't need any stitches.

“So, how are you living the boring life of Daegu, Mr CEO?” she asked as she began to eat her desert. Her curious eyes were laid on me and I felt the warmth of her presence.

“Daegu isn't boring, Miss-I-Live-In-Seoul,” I joked back and leaned against the back of my chair. “But really, it's so calm to not have to think about all these meetings, just to have some reports to read and sign... I am fully able to enjoy music now,” I added proudly.

“Don't tell me that you are listening to sad songs,” she said and it felt like she had been there or still was.

“No more sad songs, I promise,” she rose an eyebrow, exposing me. She knew better. “Just a few... or a whole playlist, okay I admit! But they're very good! It's nice to listen to!”

“I can't shame you. I'm doing the same right now,” her voice was calm and delicate, her hands were on the table now as she played with her fingers. “It somehow helps. I truly don't know why but it does help a lot. Even if, well, it hurts but... in a good way?”

“He definitely listens to sad songs Miss Kang,” my mom whispered while passing by her as she put two glasses of soda in front of us. She winked at me and then at her and I rolled my eyes, defeated.

“Eomma, please,” I complained, “we're having an adult conversation!”

“I won't disturb more then,” she replied. “If you need anything just...”

“Eommaaaaa, please,” I whined and they both laughed. Her laugh was adorable, genuine and pure. I think that I caught myself staring at her in awe as she sat in front of me, finishing her desert with a smile on her face. If it wasn't love, I didn't know what it was. If it wasn't fate...

“Your mom is an adorable person,” Young-Mi said, as she looked at my mom running between the tables.

“She's amazing, I can only agree with you...”
