"To try to make you see

Trying to be like you

Isn't good enough for me

And I won't let you go

And I won't let you down

I won't give you up

Don't you give up on me now"

Harry's POV

"Dude face it. You are closed off. You need to put yourself out there more. I mean when is the last time you hung out with friends or been on a real date?" Niall, my incessant best friend has been having the same conversation with me all class.

I understand he is only saying these things out of love. But it gets old quick when all your conversations consist of this.

"I don't know, Ni. Would you stop hounding me on this topic? I have already told you I have plenty of friends."

"Yea, if you are talking about your 60+ year old friends that play bingo on sundays at the town square. Then I hate to break it to you, but those are Bev's friends."

"I get it." I finally say shortly. Like I said, it gets old.

"H, I'm just looking out for you man. If it weren't for me then you really would have no friends." Niall says jokingly.

"Yea, I know. Thanks." I brush off quickly.

And I really did know that. Niall had been my best friend for nearly 6 years now. When I moved in with Gram, he was the first person I met. His grandma and Gram had been best of friends before her passing.

We do everything together. He is the social butterfly of this duo. Way more outspoken and friendlier than I could ever dream of.

He is also the one that influenced me to sign up for culinary school, in the city. I had always loved cooking growing up, whether it was with my mum or Gram, it was something I grew to love passionately.

He can be a pest sometimes but I love him for it. I definitely wouldn't be where I am today without his badgering.

"Look, next girl our age I see I'll extend a friendly offer." I finally break the silence with a sigh.

"A friendly offer? Like a dinner and a movie date? Cause H, hookup culture is not healthy. We have been over this before." Nialls retorts in exastpeheration.

"I don't know Niall. A friendly offer is a friendly offer know matter which way you paint it."

"Alright, fine. At least you are extending yourself in some twisted way."

"Who said it was twisted?"

Niall then looks at me with a knowing smirk. "Come on H, dont play dumb."

"But seriously enough of this, we have crab rangoons to cook." Today our teacher assigned each cooking station a different oriental cuisine, me and Niall lucked out with crab rangoons.

Our station was spacious, plenty of room for the both of us. It came with a standard size oven and electric stove top, a microwave, blender, and every other kitchen utensil under the sun. The only thing that us students had to bring was if we preferred different knives over the ones supplied to us.
