Updates with editing
Hi my lovely readers. As of 10/20/24, I have only edited up to Chapter 28. I wrote this book very early in my writing stage (when I was in high school), so there has been many mistakes I have had to correct. A major rewrite is in work, but I should be finished editing by mid-November. I have been heavily revising a chapter each day. My goal is to have at least 2,000 words on each one.

Why I wrote this book
I wrote this book because I can relate to SA trauma, though I have never been kidnapped. There has been times in my life I had felt trapped, such as in my childhood. I was stuck in an abusive household, so reading was an escape from my reality. Not only that, but memories I would often reflect on with people I loved would help—that is why I included the concept for Jayden. In bad situations, reflecting on the past can alter your mindset; It can be positive or negative depending on the memory. I tried to make "here" more realistic compared to other books related to kidnapping. The mental struggle from trauma is bypassed often, so I am trying to focus on that. Stockholm's syndrome does not happen every time someone is kidnapped.
