The Enchanted tree

Chapter 2

The next day Peter, Francis and Mia wanted to hear the next part of the story.

"Dad, tell us the next part of the Enchanted tree!" the three kids pleaded excitedly.

"Ok then, but Mia. I thought you didn't like the story?"

"I do now! Before it was boring but now it's cool." exclaimed Mia.

"Alrighty then" the father said as he continued the story.

Later that day after the mysterious thing happened to Andria it was starting to get dark and Andria was knocked out as Will walked towards the tree. But when he saw Andria he fearfully whispered

"What in the world happened here" as Will walked around the knocked out people.

But other than the people there was something that really caught his eye. It was red watery sap flowing out of the tree.

"A mysterious thing don't you think?" a mysterious voice said from behind Will...

"Who are you" Will asked in an unpleasant tone.

"I'm a spy" said the spy

"That's not very spy-like of you to tell me that and what's your real name anyways" yelled Will who was getting mad at the spy.

"My name's Conner" said the spy in a quiet tone.

"Alright Conner. You want to tell me why you're spying on me?" Will questioned

"I'm not. See but if I were spying on you, I wouldn't have said anything about me being a spy. You get it now?"

"Yes. Then why are you here if you're not spying on anyone. You're not doing your job."

"Well I am doing my job." Conner said surprised

"What by staring at dead people? That doesn't do anything!"

"Oh but it is. Just wait about one more minute, wanna bet?" Conner said with excitement

"Yeah ok. You're just wasting your bets on nothing. I'll give you ten dollars that they won't wake up." Will said with confidence

"Wait! What's the red stuff coming out of the tree?"

"That is the sap coming from the Enchanted tree. We aren't sure what it can do to living things."

After Conner was done explaining the sap to Will, a sudden movement came from Andria.

"What happened?" asked Andria tiredly"

Andria?" Will questioned

"Will?" Andria questioned back

"What are you doing here?" They both said.

"I ran away. What does it look like?"

"Why did you run away?" Will asked

"I did it for my good and the family's. You guys obviously hate me and don't care about me so I ran away!"

"Well I don't hate you! That's why I came here looking for you."

"That's a surprise! I mean you have a good life with them. You're their favourite!"

"Do you know any of these people anyways?" Will asked

"I remember her." Andria said pointing at the girl who got shot with a slingshot.

"Well she's probably dead. Yes! That's at least three dollars for me!" said Will in an excited tone.

"Excuse me?" Conner said

Will just stood there speechless

The girl who got shot woke up and broke the silence saying,

"Ah! My leg! There's a huge bruise! What happened?" the girl aked in pain

"Will stay away from them!" Andria yelled at Will

"No it's-" the girl said before she got interrupted by the girl who ran off during the shooting

"What are you still doing here!?" the second girl said yelling like a maniac

"Look, I don't know who you are but just leave my brother alone. Will, they are bad people! Get away from them, run and never come back!" Andria said forcefully

So he did.

"What are you talking about bad people!" the first girl said

"We aren't bad. And if you're wondering, the spy works for us."

"Wait a spy? Now you're really bad people!"

"Dad. Why are they bad people if they almost died." Francis asked

"Who said they were bad?" Mia asked

"Come on Mia. Have some common sense. It's pretty obvious they are bad." Peter said

"Now, let me continue on and your questions will be answered."

The father said as he continued to read.

"Look. we are trying to protect the tree from you!" the spy and two girls explained

"My name is Lola and this is my friend Hailey. Like Conner said, we are protecting the tree and then you came out of nowhere and made it spill out red yucky stuff.

"Wait, this is the enchanted tree?!" Andria shouted in confusion

"Yes." Hailey said

"This is what I was looking for, why didn't you tell me before!" Andria said

"Why were you looking for it?" Conner asked in a suspicious tone

"Because I needed it's help. But it's kinda obvious that it can't do anything. But in case you're wondering, I needed it's help because my family was treating me unfairly so I wanted the magic out of it so I can become like my brother and be perfect."

"Why do you want to be perfect in the first place, your brother isn't perfect the way I know him!" said Conner

"Well because you just met him like ten minutes ago."

"Anyway. We want you to leave Andria, And never come back." Lola said

"What about your brother, where is he?" yelled Hailey

"I told him to go away so I think he's headed home by now."

"And why is the sap gone! According to my research the sap isn't supposed to do that until it rains, He must have taken it. We need to find him!" Conner said

"I don't trust Andria right now. I'm going to tie her up in the garage." said Hailey

Hailey then grabbed Andria and walked away.
