Chapter 7

Will was in the torcher machine and there was a person in a mask. He or she went up to Will and said,

"Hey! Stop that whining! I'm here to save you. Now, stay still."

"What? Who are you? Why would you want to save ME, and I bet if you were in here you would be whining way harder!"

"Whatever Will. You don't need to know who I am and all your questions. Just know that I care about you, sort of."

"You sound familiar. You're not my sister, You definitely wouldn't be Hailey or Lola. Conner?"

"What the heck man! I'm not Conner. It's Jacob! Get it right, were not that alike."

"Well you sort of are" said Will

"Do you want to be out of this misery?" Jacob said

"Yes." said Will

As Jacob got Will out of the torcher machine, Jacob noticed that there were security cameras watching. He shot a deadly lazer at the camera making them crash. Jacob then took Will by the arm and walked out of the garage.

After a few hours Conner was in his lab and got a notification that the security camera died. He looked back at the old footage and saw Will escape with Jacob.

"Jacob. We need to talk. I gave you this uniform on day one of being my assistant. Did you or did you not bail Will out. You know he's the bad guy right?" Conner asked knowing the answer already.

"Yes I know he's bad. But hear me out. I let him out because I felt sorry for him. I know what he's going through." Jacob said in a sad tone.

"What's that supposed to mean?" Conner questioned.

"It means I was almost in the temptation of drinking the sap, except I didn't. I wanted to drink the sap because I was curious like Will. But deep down I knew I couldn't because I'm on a diet, and also I knew that it would be unnatural. But by not drinking it, it gave me the second chance I needed to recover and pick myself up again. I want the same for Will even though it will be slightly different now that he can't die."

"Wow! I did not expect that out of you. I mean you are just a teenager, you guys do lots of insane stuff. I forgive you. But for that you would also have to put Will back in the machine." Conner said

"Did you even listen to what I said! That whole speech about doing the same as I did. Gosh Conner! Well whatever, because I was just on the edge of being fired." Jacob said sort of angry

"Alright, put Will in there again." Conner said

"Oh! And by the way." Conner added as Jacob turned around

"After this... YOU'RE FIRED!" Conner screamed.

"What?!" Jacob exclaimed.

"You heard me! FIRED!" Conner yelled as Jacob walked out of the lab for the last time.

Then Jacob walked out of the lab and headed towards Will so he could bring him back to the machine and never have to worry about him again. But the more Jacob thought, the more he realized that he didn't need to take orders from someone who is going to fire him anyways. So with that he decided not to listen to Conner and instead decided to leave and never listen to Conner again and let Will be free.

"Wait! So Jacob is the bad guy now and not Will?" Peter asked

"Yes and no." the father said

"Peter did you not hear. It's that Jacob isn't the bad guy and he just felt empathy for Will." Francis said

"No they both are! So basically what Francis said except Will may do something worse too." Mia said.

"Let's continue another night." the dad said.
