Kai stuffed his face into his pillow, hoping to block out the sound coming from outside. All he wanted was to sleep in before he had to face the inevitable. It wasn't easy being stuck in the past working to keep the future secret as your younger friends and yourself chuck questions at you left and right. He couldn't even have dinner with them most nights because he had to hide his face. It was difficult, but no! He didn't have the privilege to sleep, instead he received loud, inconsiderate yelling.

"My turn." Kai heard his younger self say. He squeezed his eyelids harder, like he was attempting at blocking out the noise... it didn't work. "Uh, it's my turn!" Baby Kai said louder.

"Well you want a little more? Take this!" Cole called out.

"Yeah? How about a little of this!" Jay shouted back. Present Kai groaned...loudly, and flipped over.

"Why do I even try?" He muttered. He sighed as he slowly sat up. He still wore his ninja gi and he could guarantee his hair was a mess. Kai ignored the yelling, stood up and slipped on his hood. He knew it was pointless to keep his identity hidden, and he was 90% sure Zane already knew, but Wu says otherwise. Kai sighed and went for the door.

"Dragon punch!" A ninja yelled. That was one of the many made up moves, created by the past ninja shouted in the last few moments. Present Kai shook his head and couldn't help but chuckle.  It was like their past selves were as good as Darith.

Kai slid open the door, and walked to the training yard. The sight was so hilarious and embarrassing that he froze like a deer in headlights. Jay  blocked arrows with his nunchucks, as Cole jumped around, knocking around dummies. Zane appeared to be meditating in the middle of the chaos, with complete lack of consciousness of the dangers. And the worst of all, Kai's past self was doing spinjitzu like a mad man. He didn't even appear to have full control.

Suddenly Zane jumped up, flipped across the yard and stole Cole's golden weapon. He, (for no apparent reason) beheaded a innocent dummy, and iced the ground with spinjitzu, successfully knocking over baby Kai. Present Kai raised an eyebrow, and caught movement. His eyes locked on to Wu's, who was across the training yard. The master seemed to be tired, and perhaps a bit amused. Kai sent him a dead-panned look before focusing back on his former self.

"This roof isn't big enough for the four of us." He said, as he and the other baby ninja (excluding Zane) stood in a line, with their hands on their hips. Present Kai narrowed his eyes, but didn't say anything. He knew this was coming, and though he wasn't proud, and regretted his actions, he knew it had to happen.

"Correction. This roof isn't big enough for him." Cole said, pointing his gaze to Zane.

"It's like he's in his own world." Jay responded. "I bet he can't even hear us!" Present Kai watched Wu walking over to the younglings. He decided to talk to his best buddy. It would be interesting speaking with the guy, before he knew he was a nindroid. Kai walked across the stone grounds and towards the master of ice. The other ninja barely disrupted their conversation to look at him.

"Good morning!" Kai called cheerfully. Zane blinked through his hood and nodded.

"Oh, good morning to you too. Can I help you?" Zane asked. Kai smiled, though Zane couldn't see it.

"I was wondering what you were up too~" Kai said cheerfully. Zane seemed just as expressionless as before.

"Training, if I am to grow as a person I need to strengthen the body and the mind." He then turned away from him and started bowing to the dummy, and accidentally knocking his head. Kai was now confused, his Zane rarely acted so neutral. This Zane had no social skills what so ever.
