In Seul 8 year old Jennie lives with her single disabled mom and wants to find her soul mate. 10 year old Jisoo splits her time between the homes of her separated parents Johoo and Jin-Ae but wishes they could all still live together. Lisa (who is also 8) lives with her both of her parents and little sister Cheyoung in a designer house in an affluent suburb and wants to be a dancer. Despite being confident and lively, Jennie has struggled to make good friends as she doesn't like leaving her mom on her own. Her dream is to find a soul mate.

Their parents decide to take part on a social experiment where they will be able to go on playdates with other kids living in the same area but that they have never met before. Their goal is to teach their kids to be able to be friends with anyone regarding their background or their bank account.

First playdate

Today is finally the day when Jennie will meet her new friends for the first time. She got up particularly early this morning to prepare everything and make sure the house looked alright. The little Korean girl didn't want to admit it but she was so nervous and beyond excited at the same time. It was her first time ever having someone her age coming over and she didn't know what to expect but she was really determined in making at least one friend for life and finding herself a soul mate. She was quite inclined to be at home most of the time to take care of her ill mom so she didn't really have the opportunity to build and keep up with a friendship.

While she's sitting with her mom who is busy putting lipstick on her daughter and trying to calm her nerves down, in the beginning of the street little Lisa hand in hand with her mom and her little sister Cheyoung was already walking towards Jennie's house.

"If there are any problems or worries, you just come and talk to me. Okay?" Dara, Jennie's mom says to her daughter while gently wiping some glitter off of the brunette little girl.

"I love the fact that there's so much green here. I think that's great, isn't it?" Lisa's mom said while walking her smiling daughter to her first playdate.

"Yeah..." Lisa replied in a small voice. Somehow her nerves had gotten the best on her in that moment. She held tight on her little staffed animal that she decided to bring with her to give her more confidence before she knocks on the small white door of Jennie's house.

Jennie gasped in excitement turning to her mom. "It's a knock!" She chirped before jumping up so fast from the sofa that, for a moment, she forgot her mom behind. She turned around and helped her mom stand up and walk towards the door.

Once they are both at the door Jennie opened it shyly letting out a little "Hi" in the process. Little Lisa was immediately captivated by the little Korean girl's beauty but she managed to get together her thoughts enough for her to reciprocate the hello. After a first awkward moment Dara invited them to come in and Lisa was the first to step in.

"What's your name?" Jennie decided to say.

"Lisa, what's your name?" Lisa asks back, pulling off her softest smile.

"Jennie."

"I like that name." She shyly said looking everywhere but at Jennie since she could feel herself slightly blushing. Being up close to her peer she can focus more on her beautiful features. Her feline brown eyes, her pointy nose and her fluffy cheeks. She looks perfect in her eyes and she instantly hoped that day to go on smoothly and that she could soon call her "friend for life".

"Thank you.." Jennie replied trying to muffle her blush with her brown hair. "I'm nearly 9." She then stated.

"I'm nearly nine as well." Lisa grins widely.
