"Hey Lisa!" Jennie shouted as she saw her best friend sitting on a bench all alone while the other kids were playing.
The girl didn't answer so she approached her to see what was wrong.
"Lisa, why don't you come playing?" She said right in front of her.

"I don't want to." she simply shrugged. Jennie couldn't see her face but she knew something was wrong with her.

"I was waiting for you..." The korean girl said sitting by her. "I thought you said I was the first one you would see after the meeting." She continued with a hint of disappointment in her tone. But, once again, she didn't receive an answer from the wavy-haired brunette sitting right next to her.
"How was the meeting?" She asked at a much lower tone, trying to really understand what' was wrong with her because she cared so much for her.

"As usual...they discussed it over and they decided that I wasn't the right fit for their family. Nothing out of the ordinary..." Lisa tried so much to sound composed and not as sad and disappointed as she really was.
But Jennie knew her too well. She could lie and put a straight face on with anyone but her.
She hugged Lisa. She hugged her so tight even though her arms were too small to be able to wrap her fully. In that hug she tried to put all the comfort, all the security, all the love that the Thai needed in that specific moment and that only she knew how to give her. Jennie was her only stability in her life and she held onto her as if she was holding for her own life.

"You'll find someone, Lisa. I'm sure of that." Jennie said giving soothing caresses at Lisa's back.
Lisa was crying silently, tears overflowed on her cheeks and she only realized it when she started speaking again.

"The time is running fast. I am already 11, Jennie. Who would adopt an 11-year-old girl problematic as I am?" She sobbed between a word and another.

"Shh. You're not problematic. You are a beautiful, caring, sweet, silly, funny, lively girl. And you know what? This family that didn't choose you, they don't know what they are missing out on. They are so stupid for leading you on and I'm telling you more, they should even know about how stupid they are." Jennie said standing up quite mad.
No one would treat her best friend like that and she will make sure of it. Lisa frowned confused, looking at Jennie while few tears still came out of what, for Jennie, were beautiful brown orbs. How to blame her, after all?
"We are going there and we are telling those two dumbasses how stupid they are. Are you with me?" She was darn serious about it when she extended her hand towards her.
Lisa couldn't help but to smile at how cute Jennie was and how much she cared for her. So much to be willing to get in trouble just to defend her.

"Jennie, I don't think that's a good idea... We'll get in trouble."

"I don't care and if you don't wanna do it then fine, I'm going to proceed by myself." She turned and was about to leave her there when she felt Lisa's hand stopping her.

"I can't let you do this by yourself..." Jennie smiled victoriously, knowing that she was able once again to convince her. "Let's do it together." She got up grabbing the smaller girl's hand and they both started to run and laugh towards the entrance where they found the couple that should've been Lisa's family.
