I buried my hands in the pockets of my sweater. Where would I go? Who would I go to?
My Dad had left years ago due to my mother's lack of soberness. I had never drunk alcohol before, and never will.
My father still loved me, because when he had left he gave me a phone and his contact was the first one in it.
Well as I said, this was almost five years ago. Now he was probably buried in the luxiourious streets of California, bathing in his golden jacuzzi or watching flat screen T.V in his new business company, Grey Co. My phone was simple, just an IPhone that was made five years ago.
I moaned as my stomach growled in agony. Small food shops lined the corners- McDonalds Wendy's, Burger King, Taco Bell....
I dug my hands in my pockets, hoping to find something. I pulled out a lint ball, two pennies, four quarters, and a ten dollar bill. The ten dollars?
Rich old Reed Hanson had gave them to me yesterday in English, after I didn't rat him out to the teacher that he had been behind the school making out with one of the seniors, and smoking in the bathroom.
Reed Hanson was the school's bad boy, but not my taste. He was more like Liam Payne, and I was more like Harry Styles. Thats why I had my boyfriend Nate.
I rarely asked him for money, and when I did he quickly gave it to me. Nate was what you would call Harry's twin. He had dark curly brown hair, and a bright smile. The only thing that set them apart where their music styles.
Nate was more into Rock, and he once told me his girl idol as a kid was Evanscene. Big mistake.
I teased him about it through Halloween To New Years'. I had stopped on New Years' because that was when he asked me to be his girlfriend, and kissed me when the ball dropped.
I didn't want to call Nate, I didn't want to bother or worry him that I wasn't okay. But how I wanted to nestle into his large strong arms. I sank into an alleyway. I wanted more than this.
Suddenly, a grouch of a girl had satten beside me. "You don't look homeless." She said to me. "Technically I'm not," I replied.
"Why are you out here then?"
"Family Problems."
"Me too."
"What's your name?"
"Aubrey. You?"
"Kristin."
