I looked at her in wonder, "Hey... aren't you in my school?"

"I don't know, what school do you go to?" She asked.

"McLean High School, home of the Lions. Rawwr!" I said in my best lion impression. We both giggled at my silly attempt.

"I do go there. Gooooo Lions!" She said throwing her hands up.

"I sure hope you're not making fun of me."

She shook her head, "Of course not, I'm making fun of cheerleaders." I looked at her for a while, waiting for her to realize."Ohh... Don't tell me, you're a cheerleader." She said biting her bottom lip nervously.

"Captain. How do you not know that?" I said in complete disbelief.

"I don't really follow up on those kinds of things." She said nibbling the knuckle of her thumb.  I nodded in understanding.

"So when are you heading back home?" I asked in curiosity.

"Never, at least for now. My moms a stupid drunk, and my dad is somewhere in California living the life." She answered.

"Really? My dad's a workaholic and my mom's a slut who slept with his assistant and pool boy; in which I caught her in bed with." I replied happily.

"And...You're happy about that?" She asked clearly confused. I got up and started pacing around.

"Of course not! It was D.I.S.G.U.S.T.I.N.G , disgusting." I gagged. "Please don't let me recall that."

"Yeah, I won't, I rather not have that in my mind." She shivered.

"Yeah." I stopped pacing. "Are you a psycho?"

"A psycho?" She asked.

"Yeah, like would you kill people for no real apparent reason?"

"No..."

"Um, are you a thief?" I questioned again.

"No!"

"Do you have any kind of dirty disease?"

"NO! What's with the goddamn interrogation?!" She yelled offended.

"You have no where to stay right?" I questioned.

"I don't know... this place is quite comfy." She said in a flat tone.

I pointed to a random place, "Rat." She screamed jumping up. I looked at her both eyebrows raised. "Question offically answered."

"What's your point?" She spat dusting herself off.

"My point is your homeless an-"

"I am not!" She defended.

"Whatever, you... 'Ran away from home,' and I live in a empty-like mansion. Why don't you come live with me?" I asked.

"Live with you? What's the deal? 50 million dollar rent." She scoffed.

"What? Why would I need money? I can get money anytime I want. Helloooo Dad, workaholic business man, live in a mansion. Really?" She shrugged. I rolled my eyes in distraught. "Anyway, what will it be? Sleep in a mansion with me or... sleep with the rats?" I looked to her waiting for her answer, I stared at her for a while as she continued to stare into the distance in thought.

I huffed, feeling insulted. I started out the alley and down the street. I spotted a  16 Handles a few streets  away and went inside.

The nerve of that girl, this is what happens when you're nice to someone you don't know. Hmm... but if she didn't want to stay with me I could've gave her some money... But she doesn't seem like that type of person to just take money when given.

I sigh utterly dumbfounded. Just as I was selecting a flavor there was a tap on my shoulder. I looked back to spot her almost out of breath. "How are you hardly breathing, I only walked a couple of blocks."

She looked at me wide-eyed, she held up her index finger indicating me to wait. She took a couple more breaths before finally talking, "Couple of  blocks?! That was almost 20 blocks!! I'm not much of an athlete you know?!" She exclaimed.

"Obviously..." I muttered under my breath.

She looked at me with a threatening glare, "Watch it missy." Shocked by the tone and glare, I nodded in understanding.

"So... here about the deal?" I ask.

"Yes, and I would appreciate living with you for a while."

"I never said the deal was still on the table." I scoffed.

"Why?"

"Because! It was really offensive when you were actually considering between sleeping with the rats and an actual shelter!" I exclaimed angrily. "Am I really that bad that you'd actually consider that? Just because I'm a cheerleader does not mean I have a mean personality. Y-You don't know me..." My voice grew soft as I thought about all the people who were scared just being around me.

"I see why you would get that impression," she placed a friendly hand on my shoulder and gave me a sad smile. "But I was actually wondering about me being a burden to you and all. I don't want to trouble you. You are a bit sassy though."

"I know I should be offended, but I believe that's true in some kind of way. So...why don't we discuss this over some fro-yo?" I suggest.

She nodded rapidly, "Sure but I'm paying for  mine. Don't you even dare consider paying for me."

I held my hands up in defense,"Okay, okay got it." We chuckled a bit before ordering our fro-yo and toppings.

Once Aubrey got her she saved a table. I, at last received my fro-yo and sat down besides her. She pointed between our cups. "We got the the same flavor and even similar toppings," I looked between mine and hers.

"Haha we did." We both happily took a sweet spoonful and placed it in our mouth.

Both letting out a refreshing mmmm.
