MARK My Words

I missed Shawn. I was thankful he was supportive about the baby... but I couldn't help but wonder... what would have happened between us if Mark never came back? A part of me still couldn't believe Mark was back! I resigned myself to taking one day at a time and to put my baby first.

Blair:   Okay, so these procedures sound pretty intense. Is finding out the paternity a couple of months early... worth taking the risk of harming the baby?

Twinkle:  No. There's no way I'd take that chance, I'm glad I read up on it... but I'm going to wait until after the baby is born.

Blair:  I think that's a good idea. By the way... we keep saying "the baby". Do you think you're having a boy or a girl?

Twinkle:  Oh man, I don't know. I guess I don't have that "mother's intuition" yet.

Blair:  I hope you have a boy. Maybe he will get Mark's eyes... or Shawn's height! [Giggles]

Twinkle:  I just want the baby to be healthy.

Blair:  Sure, but you have to have a preference, come on, what are you hoping for?

Twinkle:  A girl. For some reason, I've always imagine myself with a daughter.

Blair:  Aww, that's sweet! I can picture a little Twinkle running around. Are you going to find out the sex early?

Twinkle:  I'm not sure, but a part of me wants to be surprised... but another part of me wants to be prepared.

Blair:   Hmm. Well, I think you should find out... just so you can tell me! I want to know!

(They both start to giggle, but then...)

Twinkle:  Hold on... do you hear that?

Blair:  Yeah, it sounds like your mother is yelling at someone downstairs.

Twinkle:  Let's see what's going on.

Linda:  This is all your fault. Your daughter clearly takes after you!

Mrs. Rae:  Would you be quiet, Linda! I don't want Twinkle to hear you!

Linda:  Ah. She doesn't know the truth, does she? You haven't told her the truth about why we left that night!

Mrs. Rae:  Please, I beg you. Don't say anything.

(Twinkle comes running in.)

Twinkle:  [Gasps] Mrs. Stanton! What are you doing here?!

Linda:  I'm here to talk about this baby. Mark told me he could be the father, you've ruined his life!

Mrs. Rae:  Don't talk to my daughter that way!

Linda:  I will say whatever I want! My son is in high school! He's not ready to be a father!

Twinkle:  I understand why you're upset, Mrs. Stanton... I didn't mean for this to happen.

Linda:  Of course you did. You've been pining after my son since the day you were born!

Mrs. Rae:  That's enough! If you can't have a rational conversation, then you need to get out of this house!

Linda:  You need to get rid of that baby! Get rid of it now before it's too late!
