Here Goes Everything

This was it. The moment everyone had been waiting for, boy? Girl? I was about to find out... but either way, I knew it would be one of the happiest moments of my life.

Twinkle:  Is everyone ready?

Mark:  No, I'm too nervous. Wait, no, I'm not, hurry up and open it!

Shawn:  No time like the present, let's see those results! [Claps]

Twinkle:  Okay... as soon as I remember where I put them.

Mark:  Really?

Twinkle:  I may have panicked and thrown the envelope somewhere around here... [Grabs it behind a picture on the counter]  Here it is!

Shawn:  Whew, you had me worried for a second.

Mark:   Well, let's hear it...

Twinkle:  AGH! This is it... my hands are shaking. Okay, here goes nothing or here goes everything, I should say. [Reads it and gasps]  OMG.

Mark:  What?!

Shawn:  What does it say?!

Twinkle:  I'm having a... GIRL!

(Everyone cheers with happiness.)

Mark:  I knew it!

Twinkle:  So did I! I guess I have that motherly instinct after all.

Mark:  You must! Because it's a girl, baby! My mind is blown right now. Congratulations, Twinkle!

Shawn:   Are you happy?

Twinkle:  So happy! Mona. My Mona. I can almost picture her... laughing in my arms.

Mark:  I feel 10 feet tall! I'm going to go call mom!

(Twinkle and Shawn start giggling, and Stacy runs over.)

Stacy:  Congratulations! A little girl! [Claps]

Twinkle:   Thank you. I really just wanted the baby to be healthy, but I'm happy it's a girl.

Shawn:  Me, too. A girl that's as beautiful as her mother.

(Twinkle goes to see Blair and her mom.)

Mrs. Rae:  Oh, Twinkle! A baby girl! [Sobs]

Blair:  Congratulations! I knew it all along, of course.

Twinkle:  [Giggles]  Thank you both.

Mrs. Rae:  Oh, I'm going to ruin my makeup if I keep crying. A granddaughter! Such wonderful news!

Blair:  How are you feeling?

Twinkle:  I'm feeling a lot of things, but mostly... I don't know? I'm happy, but finding out it's a girl makes it all the more real.

Mrs. Rae:  You're going to be an amazing mother! And thank goodness I bought all of those bows!

Twinkle:  You bought bows when you didn't even know the gender?

Blair:  That was risky!

Mrs. Rae:  What can I say? A mother's intuition.

Blair:  You mean, a grandmother's intuition.

Twinkle:  Well, thank you both.

Mrs. Rae:   You should go find Mrs. Lee. She was looking for you, said she had something to tell you.

Twinkle:  She did? Okay, I'll go find her. [Walks out into the living room.]

Twinkle:  Oh, there you are, I was looking for you but had to make a quick bathroom stop.

Mrs. Lee:  Twinkle, congratulations! A girl. Now you know what I've known all along.

Twinkle:  So you knew it was a girl?

Mrs. Lee:  Of course! I kept it a secret because I didn't want you to find out too soon. You were made to have a daughter, and you will be a top-notch mother. I wanted to make sure I gave you that assurance... since I have seen it myself.

Twinkle:  Wow, thank you! And speaking of your visions... Mrs. Lee can you share any more titbits about my daughter? Other things you may have seen?

Mrs. Lee:  Of course. I have seen that her first word will be "mama", her first step will be into her father's arms, and I have seen she will one day want blue hair.

Twinkle:  [Giggles]  Blue hair?!

Mrs. Lee:  She will be very special.

Twinkle:  It sounds like it. Thank you so much, for everything.

Mrs. Lee:  My pleasure, and just one more thing... the boy that you think is the father, that feeling you have from the hint you found out about? You're correct. And I have a feeling that if you talk to the boys about it... you will get a chance to avoid that danger that awaits you. I'm sorry I can't say more, it's too unclear.

Twinkle:  I see. I will... think about this.

In Twinkle's bedroom...

What do I do? Do I trust her word? Do I really know who the father is? My gut tells me I do. I can't keep it to myself any longer... I don't know how I made it this long anyway, and I honestly feel like I owe it to them to end the suspense. It might make things easier for the one who's not the father... to better prepare himself for disappointment once we do the paternity test.

What am I thinking?! I can't tell anyone about this. What if my gut feeling is wrong? I won't break anyone's heart unnecessarily. Besides my own, I guess. I should go outside and get some fresh air. [Walks out to the lake]

Mark:  Twinkle, what are you doing here?

Twinkle:  I just needed to get some fresh air, I haven't been feeling all that great.

Mark:  It's a lot to take in, isn't it?

Twinkle:  Yeah, especially with everything that's happening... [Gasps]

Mark:  Twinkle?! What's wrong?

Twinkle:  We may find out sooner rather than later... my water just broke.
