Chapter 5

Next morning Kalpi woke up feeling horrible! She had wanted to talk to Prem confront him but then something inside her asked her not to! You still haven't given ur best Kalpi!!

She shook her head and got into the bathroom. Then got back to her routine to make breakfast for both her and Prem, wondering where Prem was? And she heard the door click open with the keys. It was Prem. He came into the kitchen and behaved as if everything was normal! Goodmorning Kalpi! I had gone to buy milk and butter. You will need butter to make my toast naa?

Kalpi just mumbled na Prem, enough of buttering me up. Well I made poha so dont need the butter now. And you had changed to black coffee since past one year so then why the milk?

For you! You dont like black coffee so I got the milk for u.

Come I need to discuss something important its about my meet with the Singhania group! Kalpi became alert! Raghav Singhania? Did you meet him personally?

Nah! Said prem stuffing his mouth with a spoonful of poha and balancing his coffee in his hand walking towards the dining table.

He sat there. Arrey Kalpi these big people dont meet people like us! They have other staff for all this work!

Agreed, said Kalpi wiping her hands with the kitchen towel and sat next to him tying her open hair into a bun. But only his approval can give us the contract right!? So did they like your presentation?

Hmmm ...thats where I was getting to.. said Prem sipping his coffee. From what I could see they were not that impressed until I added your ideas into the presentation towards the end! And then it was like magic! They were impressed. Kalpi's face brightened and she smiled but but but said Prem again. Kalpi frowned, but what???

They wanted some more detailing regarding how would such a programme help increasing the productivity as you had explained. I think they want a sampling to show them how it would actually work!

Well for that we need to know the systems they use and how much of their work is done on paper and how much on the system. Plus I will need details of the nature of their work to do that kind of detailed presentation Prem. I cannot do it sitting here. 

hmmm exactly I explained it to them and they said they will let us know when one of us can shadow their employees and give them a final presentation with the result sample and then they will start off the project. However if they like it they want us to conduct the dry run as early by November and they would want the new systems in place by the new year!!

Wow thats lot of work so I am not going to get to see you for months I guess, said Kalpi dejected. Wish I could help you with this.

Prem had almost finished his breakfast. And he looked at her saying what do you mean you wish?? You will be the one to do this as I will be leaving for New York in October remember??

I am going for a conference and a training for the latest updates and the new software and the malawares that are entering the market!

So you will be doing all this work since you have already got yourself involved in it by making the presentation and stuff!

Really Prem! Kalpi was jumping with joy! Wow Prem this is so much fun I will be working in Raghav Singhania's software consultancy firm!!! Will change his office's entire Computer system!! Yay!!!! I love you Prem she said and hugged him when he got up from the chair. However he could not hug her back. He has the coffee mug and plate in both his hands. He looked at her apologetically and said hugs to you too! Now stop dreaming and start working!

He went to the kitchen and smiled. This is the least I can do for you girl! Glad to see that smile back on your face. Oh I was so damn guilty! His yes had unshed tears and he kept the plate and mug in the sink and dashed off to the bathroom.

Kalpi was all excited and started making calls to Prem's office. She spoke to Rohan and he congratulated her and told her We all are waiting for you, Madam!!

Okay employees! She giggled and asked Rohan to mail her some details and files and said that she would reach office soon. She sat and as usual picked her notebook to jot down some notes and to do list!

Later she went to have a bath. Soon she had forgotten all that took place last night and she did seem to have forgotten Romeo! (Well! did she? Nah I dont think so!) 

Kalpi was enjoying the shower when she felt she heard him!! I think you are smitten by this RS guy! She turned to find Romeo looking at her from top to bottom. She shut her eyes squeezed them and opened again to find nobody there. 

Why do I always see him in the bath? Cant he come anywhere else?What an indecent guy! She recollected one of her conversations with him that night. She had told him about her dreams to create something new tp develop a new software and to help her husband assisting him in his work and build their firm leading it to success. She had shared so many things with him and he had listened to her quietly! She wondered if he even understood anything that she had said but she had not cared. She had never spoken so much to a stranger as she had done that day. Maybe his songs did the magic! She guessed. His voice was so genuine that I felt he was a genuine guy maybe a nice person!

She came out of her bath and happy somewhere she thought what if Romeo heard this news??? She smiled thinking Kalpiii tu pagal ho gayi hai! He must have forgotten you also and you are still thinking of him!  Chalo now lets get ready!

Prem I am coming with you too. Prem apologised once again. Kalpi I have to go to the passport and visa office to sort out the visa formalities So you can go directly to our office. By the way I dont think you will be called at the Singhania group this week. They seemed a bit busy as it is month end. So chill and dont panic. Relax and work calmly okay? See you later.

Soon Kalpi reached the office Rohan introduced her to the staff most of them she had known as she had helped in setting up the office and also in some initial contracts in the beginning. Later she had to stay back home as Kamla was falling ill and not keeping well.

She got to work and soon the employees loved her and her attitude. They all respected her knowledge and her capability even though she had not come to office for a long time. She delegated the work evenly and created teams and placed targets should the Singhaniya group contact them to come over.

She even had plan B and C in place just in case plan A went haywire. She seemed hellbent on getting this project! Little did she know that the employer of the office where she was dying to go to was hellbent on finding her! And little did Raghav know that the one he has decided to find is desperate to end up at his office!!! ;)

Is this not a game of destiny? So will Kalpi get to meet Raghav singhania or will she continue to meet Romeo!!???
