Finally...

11:48pm

Jennie slumped herself on the bed, lying her stomach down, and opened her laptop. Greeting her some missed calls with her mother on facetime. She scrunched her face and called her once, which the call was gradually accepted. She fixed her position and faced her mother who looks like she's in her office.

"Do you need anything Mom?"

"Are you doing alright with your father?" Her mother asked, Jennie shook her head and smiled at her. Since she felt tragic for not seeing her mother for the last time before she went to New Zealand for something crucial agendas the last three days. Jennie ensured she won't have any correspondence with her father until her mother returns home.

"Still not talking to him"

"You came home late, and your eyes look tired...Are you sure you're okay? Did your father say something to you again? You know I can talk to him."

"I really am Mom, I'm glad Taehyung is consistently there for me"

"Oh, are you with him?"

"He just left, I will tell him to call you"

"Alright darling, Mommy has to hang up now. The meeting will begin in less than no time"

"At this time?"

"Mommy can manage it... One more thing Jennie" Her mother called out, returning to her own momentous gaze. She hummed and listened carefully before bidding a goodbye.

"Be careful okay?"

Jennie didn't speak and just nodded at her. They bid their goodbyes together then Jennie closed her laptop, and placed it on her nightstand. She wanted nothing more than to lay down and be enveloped by the warmth of silence. Whether she wanted to rest permanently or not, she still doesn't know and it's still making her insane. Though silence would be considered warm, but there she is. Laying on her bed prepared to be swept away by the hope that her sleep would be filled by light.

Chest rising and falling rhythmically. Jennie just stared at the ceiling for a long time. When her thoughts got babble, she knew she was starting to nod off. Now all she has to do was to let go. As her consciousness ebbed, her mind went into free fall, swirling with the beautiful chaos of another fantasy.

It wasn't light... It was darkness instead.

"I saw someone outside Dad" young Jennie said to her father while lightly pulling his sleeve to catch his eye, but he just ignored her and swayed his arms for Jennie to remove her hands on him. "I don't have any an ideal opportunity to hear you out and to your rubbish stories Jennie"

"I really saw someone Dad! She's outside!" Jennie insisted although she knew her father won't listen to her. She kept fighting until she at last stands out enough to be noticed. That's all she needs, her father's warmth and love towards her. Jennie once despised nearly every little thing about him. He was always aggressive towards Jennie, a womanizer, and any absurd actions a true father would never do, but despite being the worst daughter to him; because that's what her father sees... Jennie didn't doubt herself and continued loving him.
