Nineteen Years Ago...

The six-year-old girl stared quietly as her father was now laying on the floor with his blood, dying in front of Lisa. He kept whispering her name and tried to move beside her, holding Lisa's hand and trying to calm her down. She'd stopped crying and resisting a while ago, now all she felt was..numbness.

She simply sat down properly and gently placed his father's head onto her lap, and her tears raced down her cheeks. Seeing his father still smiling at her made her heart tore apart. He raised his hand and wiped Lisa's tears with his thumb, smoothly caressing her cheeks, and Lisa's other hand held it.

"Don't leave me d-dad"

she muttered, but he didn't speak as he was now struggling to move his mouth. He just smiled, but there was sadness behind his grin. This wasn't what young Lisa wanted. It wasn't something she was expecting, but here she was, in their house, watching his dad slowly dying.

They were just poor, living in the mountains where it is peaceful and quiet. She has no friends and all she got was her father. He was her bestfriend, her guardian, and her partner in crime, and now, after her mother abandoned them earlier with a wealthy and good looking man...Lisa was now hopeless. She can't do something about it, she can't call someone since they're not fond of technology and she was still a young girl who does not know about it nor scream for help. All she can do is stay with her father.

"I'm sorry...Pranpriya" his voice was soft and low, something that begged for forgiveness. He looked straight into Lisa's doe eyes, telling him that she was lost. Lisa was too smart and observant for this young age, but for the first time, she doesn't know what to do in this case.

Lisa clenched his shirt when she saw her father closing her eyes. A tightening of her throat and a short intake of breath attacked her. Her lips trembled in fear as she tried to hold his whole body and embraced him, not caring about the blood on her.

"I only have y-you..so please stay alive" she whispered, although she knew her father is now dead. She, at last, stood up and let his body set down on the floor, lifeless. The warmth of life stolen by the cold embrace of death, the blood stopped rushing out of his open wound. She took a step back, trying to hold something for support.

She was now feeling dizzy and she was unable to feel anything, she was for sure numb. Her last step made her lose her balance as she trudged on a gun, she slipped, hitting her head on the table, and the last thing she saw before the darkness consumed her completely was his father's lifeless body.

"Mom left us because she wasn't contented with her life, Dad left because he sacrificed himself for us. She was indeed selfish to leave a harsh memory"
