Hi, I'm sorry for not updating yesterday! It snowed quite heavily and so for once I wanted to go outside so I didn't have any spare time on my hands to write.
'You just nodded and walked over to the sofa where you lay down to rest. You'd only been up for a few hours but you already felt the hands of fatigue begin to press down on you. You thought of Trish and how she was feeling but before you could move Bucciarati sent you a look that told you he'd handle her. With that established you were quietly swept away into the realm of unconsciousness.'
When you woke there was no sunlight coming from the top of the ceiling, instead you could see the dark roof of the car. Your eyes felt heavy and slightly stuck together, to remedy this you rubbed them and sat up. You stretched your arms and gradually woke yourself up, recapping over everything that had happened and realised the past few days had been immensely tiring. First Pesci and Prosciutto then Bucciarati in the bathroom and then Mr. Pericolo yesterday.
"(y/n), are you awake now?" You heard a whisper coming from somewhere and looked to follow the voice. It was Narancia, he seemed to be on lookout for inside the turtle.
You nodded and walked over to him, goosebumps rose on your skin as the cold settled in.
"Have you been on look-out this whole time?" You whispered over to him once you were close enough.
"Yeah...Abbacchio's been driving for the same amount, honestly I'm surprised we haven't crashed yet, he's been driving for a while." Narancia murmured thoughtfully.
"Hey, well I've just woken up so how about I take over for you and you go get some shut eye." You offered sweetly. Narancia looked like he wanted to protest but the promise of sleep was too alluring.
"Thanks, (y/n). I'll quickly go up to tell Abbacchio it's time to swap...can you wake up Fugo for me and tell him he's on...?" Narancia seemed a bit hesitant to ask you this.
"...Sure...is there a reason you don't want to wake him up yourself though?" You questioned him and Narancia faulted for a moment.
"Fugo just gets a bit annoyed when people wake him up is all...he has an extraordinarily foul temper anyway so waking him up is...scary...." Narancia explained.
"Great, thanks for the warning, I'll try to be quiet!" With that Narancia climbed up onto the table and warped out of the turtle. You made your way over to Fugo who was sleeping on the other end of the sofa.
You knelt down next to him, "Fugo?"
No response.
"Fugo?" A little louder.
No response.
"Fugo!" You hissed.
Still no response.
You sighed and put your hand on his forehead, brushing his hair back. He certainly was a deep sleeper. You walked over to the fridge and looked around to see if anyone had gotten something caffeinated. You saw two small cans of unopened peach iced tea and picked one up.
You opened the can with a click and hiss and tilted the can so a tiny bit trickled out onto your finger. You kept your palm level so it didn't drip onto the floor and then tilted your hand so a couple of drips made their way onto Fugo's neck.
He rolled over.
'What the heck? He didn't wake up after that?' You were almost sad he had such a bad temper otherwise you would've definitely drawn on his face, it was such a wasted opportunity.
There came two thumps from behind you and you turned to see Abbacchio and Narancia come through the ceiling. Narancia barely made it to the sofa before passing out cold on your spot.
