♡ chapter 12 ♡

A few days later, i hug James, Francesca and my mum tightly before I get a taxi to my apartment in the early morning sun to Essex. I change out of my joggers and top into some bright orange cycling shorts, braid my hair into two neat Dutch plaits and match the shorts with a black Nike, oversized t- shirt.

Excited for the day ahead I jump into my gorgeous red car and drive to Dance works studio. I'm a little early so I try out a few flips that I learnt in gymnastics a few years ago. It feels so good to get that perfect landing. "Yooo that was dope!" Jordan and Naomi walk in applauding me! "Hi, I'm navs! I have heard so much about you!" Naomi says as she walks up to me to give me a welcoming hug. In the next few minutes the rest of diversity trot in, in bubbling conversations. Perri comes over to me and I feel my insides knot up a little. Just a little.

"Right everyone let's get to work." Boomed Ashley from the front. "Iz you haven't been here so you do have a little to catch up on but it's nothing you can't do so you'll be fine." I nod nervously and perri grins at me giving me a little more confidence. We all get into positions and start to go through the opening section. I find it a little hard to pick up and remember where I need to go next but I keep reminding myself that I am a few days behind and I just need to practice. We were going through the choreo and it was a part where just the girls were dancing so for a while the boys had been sitting at the side, chatting. I just couldn't help but notice Perris eyes glued to me like I am some extraordinary piece of art. My insides churned and I felt my self go red but I ploughed through the dance not letting it trouble me. I had to get this dance right. I can think about perri later.

For our lunch break I went happily with geo and Liv outside onto the grassy field filled with pretty flowers. The sun bouncing off livs flaming red hair, we sat in the warmth, eating our sandwiches, exhausted from this mornings rehearsal. "We should play a game" geo suggested mischievously. We all nodded in agreement and curiosity. Liv proposed truth or dare and I agreed but I was a little anxious as I don't know these two very well yet. It will be alright tho, I thought. It's just a bit of fun! "Okay okay I'll ask geo first!" Liv cried, laughing, "truth or dare?"
"Dare" geo replied eyeing up Liv with nerves etched across her face. "Okay, I dare you to go into the studio and whoever is sitting nearest to the mirror you HAVE to take their socks off with your mouth!"
"Ewwww that's disgusting!!"
"You gotta do it" I join in laughing.
Pushing geo through the doors we watch her go up to Warren and kneel down before him. "Ummm hi geo!?"
"I'm really sorry for what I'm about to do." Geo mumbled moodily. As quickly as she could she snatched up the end of warrens sock with her teeth and wrested it off whilst Warren screamed and kicked like a baby! Me and liv threw our selves down to the floor in wails of laughter, tears streaming down our face. When I opened my eyes I saw perri and Jordan looking down at us and then at geo and Warren also laughing but probably very confused. I grin at perri as me, geo and liv race back outside in hysterics and listening to Warren now being bullied by the rest of the boys.

"That was humiliating!" Shrieked geo but the corners of her mouth turned up as we both told her how funny it was and how warrens face was full of utter confusion! "Okay liv your turn," I say, "truth or dare?"
"After that experience, I think I'll go with truth," liv chuckled. "In diversity who have you had a really horribly embarrassing moment with and tell us the story" I come up with. "Oooh yes good one," breathed geo. "Ummmmm that's a hard one... Oh! Okay so there was this one time about a year ago, maybe two, and a load of the boys told me that Mitch really really liked me and they had done the same to Mitch but about me. We were both told that the other person really wanted to go on a date with the other just one time. Really neither me nor Mitchel liked each other but both of us being stupid went to the cinema to watch this rom com both thinking we were just doing something kind for the other. Well you can imagine the rest of the boys were in hysterics and had not imagined both of us to go that far, so when we came back to the studio holding each overs hand cringing massively they all blurted out it was a huge prank and it was so so embarrassing, me and Mitch were cringing ALOT!"
"Oh my god, I remember that!" Shrieked geo, rolling around on the grass. I giggled and exclaimed, "I can't believe you both actually went on the date!"
"Okay iz, your turn. Truth or dare?" Liv asked, still cringing from her story. "Hmm better be, dare!" I respond. As soon as I say dare I regret it. But no turning back! "Right, you have to go and find umm I don't know... Perri! And pretend that you are a married couple and keep chatting to him, saying things like 'how's the kids' and that," my face is painted a deep red and I squeal, "I can't do that!!" Geo and liv make me and I sigh whilst dragging my feet back into the studio. Luckily Perri is only with Naomi and Jordan in a seating area but out of the corner of my eye, I see geo and livs phones creep out of their pockets! Taking a deap breath, I skip over to Perris chair and perch on the arm as he looks up in surprise. "Hi!" He exclaims and I cautiously begin. "Hello darling! Are you alright?"
"Ummmm" perri begins. Before he can say any more, I interrupt, "are you ready for our romantic movie night later!? Ooh I am! The kids are with your mum so they will be right out of our way!" I choke on the last part with embarrassment and jump up saying it was a dare, a stupid one. Perri sat there gaping, tinged red, not knowing whether to laugh or be embarrassed! The others shriek with laughter and clap my performance encouragingly. At last perri gets up and playfully punches me. "Pretty good izzy, I'll get you back tho!" He smiles warmly at me and I blush but quickly look down to hide it.Laughing we all go back into the studio for the afternoons rehearsal.

*went a bit strange today... wonder what will happen next ! I have lots planned for the next few chapters, hope you enjoyed*
