Over the moon, I bounced my way to the mirrors at the front and Perri pulled me into a massive man hug whilst Nathan gave me a high five. They called in the rest of the boys and I was so happy to see that some of the girls were their too! There was: Jordan, Ashley, Mitchel, Sam, Warren, Ike, Terry, Starr, Georgia, Liv and I wasn't too sure where Morgan was but there was some diversity junior members two. The only ones I recognised was Theo and Isaac because of their huge manes of hair.
"Ayyyy it's Isabel!! Long time no see!" Jord laughed and chucked me a fist bump. I was so ready to dance, I could feel the energy building up inside of me like a volcano about to erupt! "Are you ready Isabel?" Nathan asks. I nodded in a reply and took my starting position. As the music began I saw Ashley take out his phone to film me which made me nervous at first but then I didn't care, I just danced. All the boys went crazy as I sent a back hand back tuck and carried on the dance with all the energy I had. The tricks weren't originally in the choreo but as I had this opportunity i thought I might as well show them what I've got. The music floated through me like this was meant to be. I love dance so much. So much that I can't put it into words. Whenever I dance it makes me know that this is what I want to be doing for the rest of my life. It's just so incredible how much emotion people can express through some movements you do with your body. The choreography came to an end and I grinned at diversity, Theo and Isaac who were cheering and wooing me. They all yelled stuff like, "That was awesome" "Talent!!" "Ayyy you gooo!" "Amazing"
The other dancers looked at me a little jealous as they were told to pack up their stuff and make their way out. I didn't like the way they looked at me but I suppose everything can't go well all the time so I let it go and turn back to the boys who had been talking for a bit and ushered me other. Before they say anything I blurted out "I just want to say thank you so so much for letting me perform in front of you guys, it means so much." Diversity laughed and all nodded as if saying: your wellcome. "Thank you for dancing for us! We enjoyed it very much!" Mitch smiled. "We acturlly need to ask you something quite important" Perri said whilst touching his hand on my shoulder. I was told to follow Ashley up the stairs into a sitting area so I did so, a little confused.
"So Isabel we have to ask you a huge favour." Intrigued I nodded and listened in carefully. "You may have noticed how one of our members, Morgan, was not here today." Ashley began, "I am afraid to say that she won't be dancing for a while due to quite a serious injury" my face fell with sadness because I know how unsettling it can be to injure yourself especially when dance is your life. "Oh no!" I said, "What happened, when will she be back!?" Ashley shook his head miserably. "The doctors said that she won't be dancing for at least 8 months. She fractured her hip quite badly whilst practicing for our upcoming tour and it could be career ending" My heart breaks for Morgan; she must be devastated. "That's heartbreaking" I spoke my thoughts. "But what has this got to do with me?" A smile cracked onto Ashley's face. "Ahhh yes. So we all think you are such an incredible dancer and you can do a few pretty sick tricks which could add a lot to diversity. And we need another girl for partner work in the dances. So we were hope..." He was cut of after the realisation of what was being said dawned upon me. "Omg!! Really!!?" I exclaimed excitedly! "Yeah we would love for you to be a part of diversity Isabel!"
My mind was filled with a thousand thoughts in one minute. I thought back to the time when I watched diversity perform on Britain's got talent in 2009 and how they inspired me to be the dancer I have become. I remember all the nights I used to spend watching their dances over and over adding their moves to mine. Their ideas making me grow as a dancer. I had never once thought to myself that I would be a part of them but I always knew that i wanted to be a part of a group like them. This was a once in a life time opportunity!
"Isabel.. hello??? Is... ISABEL!" Ashley shrieked. Coming back to reality I jumped, my eyes widening. "Oh.. sorry" I giggle "I was thinking about what you said and I went into a bit of a daydream about the whole thing. I would love to. Honestly I feel like this would be perfect for me. I will learn so so much and have the best time, I'm really happy" Ashley smiled and took me back down the stairs to tell the others the news. "Hey guys..." he started to say in a sad kinda voice. "What did she say!?" A lot of them exclaimed, some jumping up. "She can't guys, she said no." Diversity sat down in disappointment. "HAHAH JOKING SHE SAID YES!!!" I flew down the stairs behind Ashley and the whole of diversity jumped on me, cheering and yelling for joy! The cheering goes on for a full 5 minutes and I began to get a head ache when luckily Perri silenced the cheering by calling out "Who wants nandoooosssss!!?" We finished the day by eating take away Nando's in the studio. This was the best day ever. I can't believe I am a part of diversity!
