You look at your mother, both of you startled and alarmed. Your mother cautiously walks up to the porch door and opens it, you shielded behind her. She grips the door handle and turns it and peers her head around to see who it was then she closes the door and looks at you as if she had just seen a ghost
"There's a man." She spoke slowly
"And?" You reply
"He's very tall." She answers
You grab the door handle and open the door to see for yourself and you are met with a giant man, must have been around 8 foot he was large, hairy and yet seemed so friendly. Like The BiG Friendly Giant himself.

"Errr hello there!" The man said with a thick West Country accent. You go over to the front door and open it
"Hello, can I..... help you?" You ask
"Y/l/n right? Y/n y/l/n?" He questioned
"Yeah, that's me." You spoke as if you were asking a question
"Ah right yes, Dumbledore said you'd er, be a bit confused. Muggle born aren't ya?"
"What's a muggle"
"Oh right, best if I Er come in? Maybe your mum there could stick on the kettle?"he smiles at your mum and she laughs nervously as if she was about to faint. You on the other hand were very intrigued.

You took Hagrid inside and showed him the settee where he sat down, he took up the entire 2 seater chair and you sat opposite him on the smaller chair, your mum made you all tea then sat next to you.

"So, I best get talking aye? Lots to get through, lots to say." He says with a smile and you nod at him then he begins to explain
"This is all going to sound like some silly prank or joke, but you there "y/n are a witch/wizard/gnt. There is a whole world of magic out there that you have never experienced before. Now I don't expect you to believe me, so Dumbledore let me off using magic this once to show you an example so er. What would you like to see?"
You let out a small laugh in disbelief "no way is magic real. This man must be drunk!" You thought to yourself
"Errrr alright then. Hagrid, is it?" You ask and he nods "Well then Hagrid, make my dog levitate." You say with full confidence that he won't be able to do it.
"Wingardium Leviosa!" He yells and suddenly Orlando is 4 feet in the air. Your heart drops you try to wake up. You MUST be dreaming. You look over to your mum who is now past out she must have fainted.
"Now I know this is an awful lot to take in y/n, but ple-"he says before being cut off by
"No no oh my goodness Hagrid! It's real? It's actually? Please! Show me more!" You say shaking your mother awake
"Haha alrighty then." He lifts up his tea cup and turns it upside down to show you that's it's empty then he says "aqua menti!" Then the tea cup was suddenly filled with water. Your mother can't believe her eyes, your body is filled with excitement like you could walk on clouds.
"Now I can take you both to Diagon Alley which is a place filled with shops for magic folk and let you get everything you need to get then bring you both back here and I will see you again on September 1st to take you to Hogwarts or.... " he looks at your mum "If she can't go, then I will wipe your memory of all things magic related and you can forget all of this happened." He sighed. You looked at your mum in the eyes and pleaded her to let you go.
"Well I'm not going to let her miss out on all this am I!?" She yells and you all laugh and cheer.
