Chapter 30: Hospital.

***Jai's P.O.V.***

I pulled out of the kiss. Miranda looked down. I saw a small appear on her face. "I love you Miranda. No one can ever change that." I said as I placed my hand on her hand. "Jai... I already told you... " I cut her off. "Miranda please! Don't leave me.." I felt hot fresh tears stream down my face. Miranda wiped the away. "Miranda.. you said that I give you this feeling that you've never felt with any other guy before.. and you give me the same exact feeling." She sighed. "I know what I said... but I'm still scared that you're gonna cheat again." Tears started to stream down her beautiful face. "I think that we should stay friends... for now..." I got angry. "I can't be just friends with you! I love you!" I yelled. She looked away from me. "I'm sorry.. I didn't mean to yell... I just.. I love you way too much to be just friends." I said softly. "Jai... who knows what the future holds. We might end up back together... but for now.... lets just stay friends." Every word that came out of her mouth broke my heart more and more. I couldn't take it anymore. I stood up and ran out of the church. I can hear Miranda run after me. "Jai! Jai wait!" I can hear her footsteps behind me. "Jai! Watch out!" I looked over to see a bright light coming towards me really fast. Then everything went black.

***Miranda's P.O.V.***

I ran over to Jai! He was on the cold hard ground.. unconscious.. The top of his head was bleeding. I looked up at the car to see the car that hit Jai, drive away really fast. I pulled out my phone and dialed 911 quickly. "911. What's your emergency?" The lady operator asked. "My boyfriend.. he just got hit by a car and now he's not waking up." I cried into the phone. "What's your location?" The lady asked. I looked all around for a street sign. "Bardwell Road. In front of the old abandon church! Please hurry! His head is bleeding!" I cried even harder. "Ma'am, please calm down. Help is on the way." The lady then hung up, leaving me there.. holding Jai in my lap. "Please wake up.." I cried stroking his flawless face now covered in blood. He wouldn't move. I put my head to his chest. I could hear his heart beat.. that's a good sign. The ambulance finally arrived. They but Jai in a stretcher, and put him in the ambulance car. "May I come? I have to make sure he's okay.." I said as tears were forming in my eyes. The ambulance guy nodded and helped me get in the car. I just kept looking at Jai. He seems so.......... lifeless. I started to cry. "It'll be okay ma'am. He'll be fine." Said the ambulance guy. I just kept crying.

When we arrived at the hospital, I watch them take Jai out of the ambulance car and rushed him inside. I followed. Before I could walk into Jai's room, the doctor stopped me. "I'm sorry. But you're gonna have to wait in the waiting area," He then pointed to where the waiting area was. I sighed and nodded. I forgot to call Alana about Jai. I dialed her number. I started to cry... if I was a mom, I would hate to get a phone call from my son's ex girlfriend telling me that he's in the hospital. "Miranda! Hi! How are you? I haven't heard from you in so long!" She said cheerfully. I cried even harder. "Sweetie, what's wrong?" She asked with concern in her voice. "Jai... he's... he's in the hospital!" I cried out. "Oh my god! What happened?! Is he alright?!" I could hear Alana start to cry. "I don't know.. last time I saw him he was unconscious." I said. "I'm on my way." Alana then hung up on me before I could say anything else. I just waited in the waiting room. I was silently crying.... other people were in the waiting room, and I didn't want to be disruptive to them. Alana then walked through the doors. "Miranda!" She said as she walked up to me. I stood up and hugged her. I started to cry in her shoulder. "Shh.. It's alright sweetie." I pulled away from the hug and sat down. Alana did the same. "Explain to me what happened." I sighed and started to explain.

(You all know what happened.)

Alana started to cry. "Alana I'm so sorry.. If I wasn't so stubborn.. none of us would be here right now.." I said looking down guilty. "No sweetie, it's not you're fault. You were scared of getting hurt.. that's all." Alana said as she pulled me into a side hug. I just cried in her shoulder until they gave us an update on Jai...

*3 hours later.*

"Jai Waetford?" A doctor said as he walked into the waiting area. Alana stood up quickly. The doctor walked over to us. "How is her?" Alana asked on the verge of tears. "He has 3 broken ribs, a huge cut on the side of his forehead, and a big bruise on his forehead, and a broken arm.... but he will be okay." Alana and I sighed in relief. "May we see him?" I asked. The doctor nodded and lead us to Jai's room. We walked in quietly. "Oh my god. Jai!" Alana ran up to Jai and hugged him tightly........ crying. "Ow. Mum." Jai whined. She released him quickly. "Sorry baby. How you feeling?" She asked. "Sore." Jai said. Just by the sound of his voice.. you could tell that he was in pain. He then looked at me. I gave him a small smile and stared at him back. "I'll give you too some privacy." Alana said. She gave Jai a kiss on his forehead and walked out. I started to cry. "Jai... I'm so sorry." I said as I slowly approached him. "If wasn't so stubborn, you wouldn't be here right now. This is all my fault." I said crying. "It's not your fault.. I shouldn't have ran out of the church.. I should've just let you explain.." Jai said softly. I sat on the side of his bed. "How long so you have to be in here?" I asked changing the subject. "2 weeks." He groaned. "I'll come visit you everyday." He smiled. "I would like that very much." His smile makes my heart flutter. Jai and I just sat there.... smiling at each other. He then scooted over and patted the sit right next to him. I layed down and cuddled up to him. "We both had a long day. Get some sleep." He whispered softly. I nodded and closed my eyes... trying to sleep. Jai started to softly sing to me. "So baby please don't leave me now.. don't leave me now. Don't let me go. Don't let me go. Ohh. You got the softest touch, and no deceit... and no money or car can change what you mean to me. Cause I'm falling in love with you, and I just can't help myself. Cause I'm falling in love with you, and I just can't help myself. So baby please don't leave me now.. don't leave me now. Don't let me go. Don't let me go.. don't let me go ohhh. Don't let me..... goooooo." He just kept singing until her knew I was asleep.
