Summary: Peter meets the rouge Avengers but they don't know he's blind.

Warnings: mentions of death, angst but sweet ending.

Peter had a good day. Flash wasn't at school, he passed his chemistry exam and Ned told him he had gotten a new Star wars Lego set. He walked out of the elevator, music blasting through his headphones.

But of course Parker luck couldn't leave him alone for JUST one day.

Not looking where he was going he bumped into someone. Then again he was never looking where he was going seeing as he's blind.

He wasn't born blind. When he got bitten by the radioactive spider he wasn't blind. How did he lose his sight?

Well he lost it during the Civil war. When Sam's drone through a window he hit the ground, hard, and got a concussion. Then he fought Captain America, who hit his head with his vibranium shield. Then he got hit by ant man and landed, hard, and his concussion worsened.

He lost his sight.

At first he thought his life was over but he had his caring dad, Tony Stark, to help him through it.

His dad made him contact lenses to cover the blue, white hue of his eyes. They also had a camera that was connected to the comm in his ear. The devices were connected to Karen, his AI, who told him what to do or where to go when his senses failed him. She also helped him read.

The rouge Avengers were pardoned and were to stay at the Avengers tower.

Tony was both mad and scared. Who wouldn't be. The people he was allowing into his home were the same people who were the cause for his son's blindness. And they also tried to kill him.

Said rouges where now standing in his home. It was getting overwhelming.

"Would you excuse me please," Tony said as he went to the kitchen to get a glass of water.

"Did he just say please?" Clint asked.

The elevator doors opened and a fifteen year old boy walked in. He had headphones on and was bobbing his head to the music. He wasn't paying attention to where he was going and bumped into Steve.

"You should watch where you're going son," Steve said catching the boy before he fell.

Peter pulled off his headphones and listened to the six heartbeats in the room. His eyebrows furrowed in confusion. His father hadn't told him of guests.

"I'm sorry but who are you?" He asked his eyes not focused on anything or anyone in particular.

"You don't know who we are?" Natasha asked.

She had her gun on the ready, just in case he was a threat.

He recognized that voice. Theses were the rouge Avengers.

He knew it wasn't their fault. They didn't mean to make him blind. No matter haw hard he tried there would still be a part of him that blamed the rouge Avengers.

He panicked.

His breathed picked up and his senses went haywire. His uncle Bruce had taught him how to calm down but right now he couldn't even think straight.

He stepped away from them but tripped and fell without anyone to catch him.

"Are you," Steve started approaching the boy but was stopped by Tony.

"Back of Rogers," He said pushing past him to get to his son.

He knelt near his son and pulled him close to his chest. He placed his son's hand on his chest and took deep breaths in and out.

"Copy my breathing Peter, in and out. In and out. In and out. That's it. Don't worry they won't hurt you, I'm here," he ran his hands through his sons hair.

His son calmed down.

Tony helped his son to his feet facing the others.

"Guys this is my son Peter Strange Stark," Tony introduced.

"It's nice to meet you Peter," Steve said, being the first to come out of the shock of Tony's statement.

He stuck his hand out but the boy didn't shake it, he just stood their not even looking at the Hero. But then he asked a very offensive question, even though it wasn't meant to be offensive.

"Do you want me to shake your hand?" Peter asked.

They glanced at Tony and then looked back at the short teenager.

"Yes that's why I stuck my hand out," Steve said, offended.

"Oh, sorry I'm blind," he said casually.

"Sorry."

"You damn right. You should be sorry seeing as you're the one that caused his blindness," Tony snapped.

"Dad its fine, they didn't mean to," Peter said, "I'm going to my room, I have homework."

He walked around them as if he wasn't blind and disappeared into the hallway.

"What do you mean it's our fault?" Nat asked.

Tony sighed, "Lets sit down first."

They sat down in the common room and waited for him to explain.

"Peter's spiderman. He lost his sight during the fight we had," Tony said, tears starting to form in his eyes, "I didn't want to bring him but he was so persistent. I shouldn't have let him come. I promised I was going to protect him and he lost his sight because I couldn't keep a promise."

"When he was five he lost his parents and moved in with his aunt and uncle. When he was nine his uncle died in front of him. When he was twelve his aunt was diagnosed with cancer. Her and Stephen were good friends and we took care of Peter. When he was thirteen she died. She told me to take care of him and protect him. But I failed."

He broke down. The rest of the Avengers were also in tears.

Natasha pulled him into a hug.

"We are sorry. But now you have us. We'll help you protect him," Nat said.

"Thank you."
