YOU AND I, FOREVER!
Few months had passed since Christina broke up with her boyfriend, Matt. For her to get back to normal and move on, she focused on some more important things in her life, spend time with her son, Max, work on The Voice, and hang out with her closest friends during her free time. It wasn’t that hard for her to be happy again even if she’s single. But there were times when she can’t help it but to think of having someone to love again. She’d had few crushes here and there like Blake, but he’s already married and they treat each other as brothers and sisters, so it’s a big no-no to her. There’s Chris Mann, former contestant on the voice whom she coached during season 2. Yes, they look cute together but Christina doesn’t want to go too far with him since Chris is not really for her. And then, there’s Adam…….. Adam Levine.
“Hey,” Adam called to Christina as she was about to head home.
“Hey, what’s up?” Christina replied noticing the sad look in Adam’s face. “Is something wrong?”
“I….. I….. Can I talk to you? Adam asked. He looked down on the ground and back to her.
“Yes, of course! You go on.”
Adam went on to telling Christina about what happened between him and Behati or Bee as he called her.
“She kissed another guy?” Christina baffled. She didn’t even know that Adam was dating her. “So how long have you been together?” she asked.
“For two months,” he answered.
“When and where did it happen?”
“At the bar, she kissed one her co-workers. There were pictures and there was also a video.”
“Aw, I’m sorry to hear that, Adam. I’m really sorry. Maybe they were just drunk?”
“Yes, I’m considering that condition too. But, but, Christina, it still hurts.”
“Of course, it does. Seeing your girlfriend kissing another guy felt like a knife was stubbed right at your back.”
There was silence for a moment. None of them spoke and Christina felt like Adam needed some comfort.
“Oh, Adam, you just need some time off for yourself. Everything will be fine soon. Try to cool things off and maybe talk to her,” Christina said patting him at the back. Then Christina went off. While she was already at the door, she looked back at him. She thought she saw tears roll down his chin. She wanted to wipe those tears away but she knows better. She looked down and back at him for one last time then walked out the door.
The next day, Christina walked in on the set of the voice. She was wearing a navy blue tank top that shows enough of her cleavage and a fitted black denim pants and a black stiletto boots. Blake and Cee-lo were already sitting on their chairs. They were stunned when she approached them and said hi in a flirty voice.
“Hey, there darling. You look so hot, huh,” Cee-lo said looking from her head to toe then he looked at Blake.
“Yea, Adam will be thrilled,” Blake joked laughing.
“Shut up, Blake and thank you, Cee,” Christina fired back then laughed.
Adam was late for 15 minutes. He walked in like his old self, like he hadn’t gone through a sad and tragic love affair.
“Hey, Adam, you ok?” Christina asked.
“Always,” Adam answered and winked at her.
The show lasted longer than they thought. Everyone was tired and was ready to get home. But the four coaches seemed like they want to have fun.
