A/n: Hey guys! So this storyline actually mostly came to me in a dream. My ideas are a bit rough but stick with me. BTW this is an AU so the gods are not real. Poseidon is still Percy's father, but in this he stayed and same goes for Annabeth's mother. The are all living in New York.

P.S. I don't own these characters, uncle Rick does.

Sally Jackson POV:

Percy was about three years old and you could tell that he would grow up to look just like his father. He even had that mischievous goofy grin that made my smile grow whenever I saw it. I loved him more than life itself and I promised myself that I would always be there to protect him, no matter what.

I held him in my arms as my husband, Poseidon, and I walked down to the shore of the beach. Our family had always felt a special connection to the water and we made a point of going to the beach together whenever we could, today being one of those times.

I sat down after Poseidon had spread out our towels with Percy still in my arms. I got out our sunscreen and began to attempt to make my son as UV-ray protected as possible. I stopped for a second when I heard giggling and turned to my left to see another young family about 10 feet away from us. There was a little girl with curly honey blonde hair sitting in the sand, close to her parents, trying to make a sandcastle with her small bucket and shovel. Whenever she would get a tower of sand to stay upright she would clap her hands and giggle. I found myself smiling at the young girl and then returned my attention to putting on Percy's sunscreen. He started squirming in my lap and began to become impatient. He pointed over to the young girl and and gave me a look that said "Can I go now, pwety please!"

I chuckled and let him go. He waddled over to where the girl was sitting and waved to her with his small chubby hand. She looked up at him and smile. She handed him her shovel as if to say, "Wanna play too?". He giggled a little and took the shovel from her and helped her fill up the bucket with sand.

After a moment, I saw her parents realize my son was there. They looked over at the children and smiled. The girl's mother had curly brunette hair and her father had sandy blonde hair. They scanned the beach until their eyes landed on us and I imagine after seeing my husbands black hair, assumed that we were the parents and waved us over.

We stood up and moved our stuff closer to the family. They stood up to great us. "Hello! We're the Chases." The sandy blonde man greeted with a hand shake to me and Poseidon. "This is my wife, Athena" he gestured to his wife and she smiled, "That's our daughter, Annabeth" He pointed towards his daughter playing in the sand. "And I'm Frederick but please call me Fred." He smiled.

"It's nice to meet you guys! I'm Sally, this is my husband Poseidon" I gestured to my husband next to me. "And that over there is Percy, were the Jacksons. " I smiled at them.

"Well please sit down and join us, it seems like our children have already hit it off." Fred chuckled.

We sat down and made a comfortable spot on our towels in the sand. I glanced at our children who were still smiling and giggling and actually making good progress on that sandcastle, well Annabeth was anyway, Percy just seemed to be making decorations and gathering sand.

We stayed there all afternoon laughing and chatting together until the sun started going down. Percy and Annabeth hadn't separated once and even put up a fight to go home.

When Athena and I left our chatting husbands to pick up our children they both looked unhappy and Percy gave me a pout and pointed at Annabeth in Athena's arms.

"I'm sorry baby but we have to go home now." I gave him a sad smile. Out of the corner of my eye I saw Athena trying to comfort Annabeth.

"I guess they got pretty attached." She said with a small chuckle.

"I guess so." I said.

We walked back over to our stuff and I set Percy down for a second to put some stuff in our bag and he waddled over to Athena's legs and pointed up at Annabeth. Annabeth squirmed in her mom's arms and Athena gave in and set her down next to Percy. Next thing we know they are wrapped up in about as tight as a hug as two three year old's with tiny limbs could be. I heard a coo and a click beside me and I turned to find Poseidon taking a picture of his son and his new best friend.

I chuckled at him and he looked over at me. "What they're too cute!" He exclaimed. I rolled my eyes but had to agree with him. Fred and Athena looked at them with fondness as well.

They broke their hug and Annabeth planted a kiss on Percy's cheek. Percy blushed and then giggled. "Bye Bethyy." he giggled. "Bye Pewcy" she smiled.

We scooped up our children and exchanged phone numbers so we could arrange more play dates for our kids. We gave the Chases one last wave before driving away to our apartment. Percy had a huge smile on his face all the way home.
