As I was driving, I took out my phone and called my dad back to see what he wanted to say earlier. "Kub, why you didn't pick up your phone earlier, I called you like three times." My dad says. "Oh sorry dad, I had to use the bathroom and forgot to take my phone with me. What did you need?" I say. "Well, I just wanted to let you know that me and your mom are going to do shaman this weekend so come and invite some of your friends over to help out. There will be a lot of people here too." My dad says. "Ok dad." I say. We both hung up. The thought of that girl earlier then comes back into my head. I tried to think about what happened earlier but I just couldn't remember much. Who was that girl and was she a ghost or something? I thought to myself. I stopped at a red light then started to look around me and noticed that there was no one here. All I saw was parked cars and an empty gas station. I took a glance at the mirror to see if there were any cars behind me. From the corner of my eye, I saw a person sitting in my back seat with a huge smile on its face. I panicked and turned around instantly to look behind me and saw nothing but just darkness. As I got home, I got out of the driver's seat and went to look around the passenger seat but there was really no one there. I got confused but ignored it. I thought to myself that maybe the reason why I kept seeing weird things is because I work at a hospital where people mostly die and maybe I was just too tired. I went to sleep that night and as I was sleeping, I felt someone's arms hugging and cuddling me. I suddenly jumped off the bed and looked everywhere even under the bed but there was no one else here other than me. "Ughh, I'm starting to go insane!" I thought to myself as I threw myself back onto my bed and went back to sleep. The next morning, I woke up, washed my face, and did all the daily morning stuff before heading out. One of my neighbors then called out to me while walking up to me. That neighbor was one of the nice ones that I lived next to. He was in his 50s and he was also Hmong like me. I found it weird because usually, my neighbors would never talk to me. "Hey, did you take your girlfriend or any girls home last night?" He asked. I got confused at his question and wondered if he's ok since he's also old too. "No, I don't even have a girlfriend here." I say. He then looked at me confused and said. "But yesterday I was looking out my window and saw you getting out of the car with a girl." He says. This must be some sort of joke or this old man is going crazy like me because I did not come home with anyone yesterday, it was just me alone. "What did she look like?" I ask. "She had long blackish brown hair and she was wearing those old Hmong clothes like back when we still lived in Thailand. She also came out of the passenger's seat." He says. I felt like my heart had stopped beating for a second. I felt goosebumps rising on my arm. I finally remembered when I saw someone in the back seat last night. I rushed and ran into my house and grabbed my stuff before rushing into my car and drove off to my dad's house.
