"So this is what you've been hiding from me all this time?" Shay whispered after she calmed down.
I nodded solemnly.
"I completely understand." She looked frozen as she tried to process the newly given information. Jason, Gavin, and I did our best to answer all her questions.
"I don't!" Irena blurted after her long silence. She huffed, "Girl, you're in a gang because this idiot dropped his phone?"
"Basically." I said as Gavin took a sudden interest in the floor.
"You've got nothing to say, you dick? Why'd you even bring her into this?" Irena yelled..
"It wasn't in my intentions," he defended. "I thought she was an angel that needed healing since she was crying."
Shay furrowed her eyes at me. "You were crying?"
"I was reminiscing about my parents death which may or may not have been an accident." I said, glaring at Gavin for mentioning my tears.
"What do you mean?"
"Victor."
Irena asked, "Who's he?"
"He wants my family and I dead."
They furrowed their eyebrows in concern and fear.
"Why?" Irena said.
"That's what we're trying to figure out." Jason voiced.
Silence hung in the air for a minute. I maintained a sincere eye contact with the girls, holding Shay's fist in her lap. "Listen, Shay, Irena... Y'all can't tell anyone about this. Not even Allissa. It's sucks to keep things from her, but it's for her own protection."
"Of course, Nina, I'll do anything I can to help." Shay returned my gesture.
"Me too," Irena promised, sighing. "I mean we've never been close, but this..."
I nodded. "Thanks, y'all."
"That being said," Jason started, "Y'all will follow us to the compound. We need an army to defeat Victor."
"And we need to gear up fast," Gavin concluded.

Despite the tension, Shay's eyes lit up when she spotted the bar and immediately plowed her way to it. Jason, Gavin, Irena, and I followed her to do tequila shots which was much needed after our eventful day.
Laura, Noah, Dalton, and Chase joined us around the bar. Laura sat next to Shay and shockingly smiled at her. Tell me if I'm wrong, but I swear I saw a slight glint in her hazel eyes.
Jason slid a shot to each of us. "Let the games begin!"
Each round poured fire into my throat. The burning sensation was exquisite. It drowned out my sorrows for the night which was all I could ask for in this moment.
Latin dance music played on the stereo and I glinted a smirk to Shay, Laura, and Irena before taking their hands and climbing on top of the bar.
The crowd whooped and hollered as we shook our asses and licked our lips seductively.
"Take off your shirt!" some guy slurred in the crowd.
We happily obeyed, laughing. I winked at Gavin and Jason as they looked at me with bizarre looks in their eyes.
Gavin looked luscious as hell so I reached out my hand for his, which he gladly took. I descended from the table with his help and kissed him passionately.
I opened my eyes for a second, in time to see Jason's smile waver, turning his eyes to the floor while everyone else hollered still. I didn't think to much of it, though, giving my attention to my lover hanging on my lips.
I didn't pay much else attention to the background other than the fact that Chase and Dalton were chatting in the corner, and the girls were still grinding on each other.
I smiled seductively to Gavin, took his hand, and led him upstairs to my room.
Shutting the door, I pulled him close to me, kissing him intensely. Damn, he kissed like a fire sunset on the beach.
I guided his hands to my waist, pulling him to the bed. I made him sit me down on the edge, not letting kiss break
I crawled underneath him while he climbed over me to the top of the bed. We stared into each other's eyes. I wanted to melt into his chocolate sunrise right then and there.
So, I broke our mutual trance by looking him up and down then began kissing him again.
Our tongues fought for dominance and mind won. I flipped him over to his backside.
He broke our kiss for a second just to ask, "Are you sure?"
I answered him by smirking and kissing him once again and for the rest of the night.
