I wake up, and slip out of Sam's embrace only to be pulled right back in.
"Just relax with me for a bit" Sam says, in his raspy morning voice.
"Okay" I smile, snuggling into his chest.
"I love you Emma," Sam whispers.
"I love you too, baby. Ready to go house hunting today?" I ask.
"Yeah I'm excited" Sam smiles, placing a kiss on the top of my head.
It's the little things like this, that after almost a year of being married to Sam, that still give me butterflies. Mornings with Sam have always been my favorite, the way that he won't let me get up until we've had our morning cuddle session. The way that he'll remind me how much he loves me, and place kisses all over my face. He's basically made me a morning person, which would take a lot.
"I bet Eva's already getting spoiled by my mom" Sam laughs.
"Yeah, probably, I bet she loves the attention" I chuckle.
"Oh, I'm sure she does" Sam laughs
We decide to head downstairs, after looking in Eva's pack n play and seeing that she's already awake. We get downstairs and see Eva eating some Cheerios in her high chair and Lori making breakfast.
"There's my princess" Sam says, placing a kiss on Eva's forehead. She giggles, and says dada.
"Hi baby" I smile, pouring a cup of coffee.
"Good morning guys, are you going house hunting today?" Lori asks
"Yup" I say, scooping some eggs onto a plate.
"I can watch Eva for you guys, if it will make things easier" she says
"That would be great, thanks mom" Sam smiles, biting into his eggs.
"It's no problem" she says, flashing a smile.
I finish up my breakfast and head back upstairs to get ready. I put on some black leggings and a sweater from American eagle. I do light makeup and straighten my hair, as usual.
"Ready to go?" I hear Sam ask as I spray on some perfume.
"Yup" I smile, entwining our hands together.
We thank Sam's mom again and say goodbye to Eva, before heading off to the first house our realtor told us to meet us at.
/////
We have now been to 7 different houses, and none of them have been what we're looking for.
The first house was a perfect size for the three of us, but since we're planning on trying for another baby soon, it wouldn't work out.
The second house was way out of our price range, and even though we have a good amount of money it was just crazy expensive.
This is basically how all the other 5 houses went, and it was honestly so frustrating.
"Today was a complete blow" I sigh, while we are on our way home.
"Hey, we'll go out again tomorrow. Don't stress, babe" Sam smiles, placing his hand on my thigh.
We get back to the house, and Sam's mom informs us that Eva is taking a nap. Which is perfect since I normally put her down around this time, 2:30.
"So how'd it go today?" Lori asks me. Sam is off playing some video game.
"Not so good, nothing ass what were really looking for" I sigh.
"My friend actually is selling her house, she hasn't listed it yet, but it's really nice and I honestly think it's perfect for you guys. She would be fine with you guys checking it out, let me give her a call" she says
"That sounds perfect, thank you" I smile.
She calls her friend, who was actually fine with us coming out to see it tonight.
"Sam, can you go get Eva ready your mom has some things to do so she can't watch her" I tell Sam, while freshening up my makeup.
"Yeah, sure" he says.
Sam puts Eva in some fresh clothes and a new diaper, and we head out to the house. The house is actually fairly close to Sam's family and my moms house, which works our great.
We meet our realtor at the house, and she gives us some time to check out the house. It is a pretty big house with 5 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. It has a huge family room with a fireplace and a typical kitchen (stainless steal, granite countertops). It has a dining room for more formal occasions, and a finished basement.
Upstairs has all the bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. There's the master bedroom, a room that would be Eva's, an office, a room for my filming, and a spare bedroom.
"Would you like this room Eva?" Sam asks, and she just giggles in response.
"I'll take that as a yes" I laugh.
"So what'd you guys think?" Our realtor, Anne asks.
"I really like it, I feel like it's exactly what we've been looking for" I say
"I totally agree," Sam says.
"Well, since they haven't listed it yet, if you fill out this paper work it's yours" she says, placing some paper in front of us that just asks for the normal insurance info, payment, etc.
"What do you think babe?" I ask
"I think we should go for it, before someone else does" Sam says and I nod.
Sam fills out all the paper work, while I look around a bit more. This is honestly the perfect home for us, it's big but it still feels homey.
"And the house is ours" Sam says, making one last signature.
"Congrats!" Anne says.
"Thank you" I smile.
We head out, and decide to go to panera for dinner, since it's basically Sam's 2nd home.
"So, we are officially the owners of our second home, how do you feel?" Sam asks, taking a bite of his soup.
"I feel great, Omaha is honestly way better than LA could ever be for raising a family" I say
"I agree" Sam says, smiling over at Eva.
"We have the perfect life and family"I say, smiling at the each of them.
"We do" Sam smiles.
