I wake up, and Sam isn't in bed with me, so he must've went to the studio with Nate.
I go into Eva's nursery and see her sleeping in her crib, so I decide to take advantage of this and have some me time until she wakes up.
I pour myself a cup of coffee, and put on Dance Moms since it just got put on Netflix.
Are you at the studio? I text Sam.
Yeah, sorry I didn't want to wake you this morning, you looked too peaceful :) Sam texts me back almost immediately.
It's fine, have fun I love you 😘 I text back.
I love you too, ems. I'll be home in the afternoon.
I then scroll through all my social media accounts, while paying a little attention to the show. A few minutes later, I hear baby cries and know Eva just woke up.
"Good morning darlin" I smile, lifting her out of her crib.
I change Eva's diaper, then head downstairs to feed her. I decide on some oatmeal and bananas.
"Here comes the train" I say, scooping some oatmeal into her mouth. I then hear my phone ring and see that it's my mom.
"Hey mom" I say, putting the phone on speaker.
"Hey honey, what's up?" She says, just hearing her voice makes me miss her even more.
"Not much, just feedin little Eva some breakfast" I say, scooping some more oatmeal into her mouth.
"Aww, I miss you guys" she says.
"I miss you too, mom, like crazy. I miss Omaha in general. I've actually had this thought of moving back ever since Eva was born, but Sam has accomplished so much here, I don't want to ruin that for him" I sigh.
"If that's what you really want, you should talk to him about it. I'm sure he will at least put some thought into it" she says.
"Yeah, you're right" I sigh
We talk on the phone for awhile, then I put on a little kids show for Eva to watch while she crawls around.
"Hey babies" Sam says, walking through the door.
"Hey" I smile, pecking his lips "I'm going to put Eva down for a nap then I have to talk to you about something"
"Okay" he smiles
I put Eva down in her crib, then head downstairs to Sam.
"What's on your mind, Ems?" Sam asks, wrapping his arms around me.
"Stuff" I say, shrugging my shoulders.
"Like...." Sam says, wanting me to go on.
"I want to move back to Omaha" I say, looking at Sam to see any sign of how he's feeling.
"I-I don't know what to say" He says, furrowing his eyebrows together.
"Is that a bad sign?" I ask
"I mean, we have a whole life here" he says.
"And we have a life in Omaha too" I argue back.
"Do you want me to just drop everything that I've worked for in the past three years?" He asks, raising his voice. I don't like where this is going.
"I'm not asking you to do that, Sam! Can we just talk about one important thing without turning it into an argument?" I say, also raising my voice.
"Really, Emma, now you're accusing me of starting a fight? This is the kind of decision we need to make together, you can't just blurt it out" Sam yells.
"Why do you think I'm talking to you right now, I'm not forcing anything on you, I just thought that we could have a normal discussion about this" I yell.
There were a few moments of silence, a half angry half confused face on Sam.
"You know what, you're being really damn selfish" He yells.
"Are you kidding me right now? You're the one putting your career before your family. You know just as well as I do that Omaha is a way better place to raise a child then LA" I yell, mad at his words. "And Emma needs to grow up with her grandparents, not seeing them twice a year on the holidays" by this point, there were tears streaking down my face that I didn't even notice were there.
Sam doesn't say anything, just wraps his arms tightly around me.
"You're right" he says, rubbing circles into my back. "I will do anything to make you and Eva happy, Emma. Plus, they have recording studios in Omaha"
"I love you" I smile.
"I love you too, baby." Sam smiles.
We decide that we will go back to Omaha soon for some house hunting.
"I'm going to go start some dinner, can you wake Eva up?" I ask
"Sure" Sam smiles, heading up the stairs.
We spend the rest of the night just chilling and talking about future Omaha plans
