Silvia didn't speak to Draco for the next week. She knew they weren't close, she knew they didn't have many encounters, but it didn't matter. She was still angry.
Silvia found herself awake at 4 in the morning on Saturday, not able to sleep.
So, she decided to go to the common room, wait out there until breakfast.
She made it near the fire, just past the boys dormitory when a hand grabbed her upper arm, like any reasonable person. She panicked.
She gasped and turned to fight back, her mind running to the worst places and she only met a familiar face.
Fred.
Silvia sighed with relief.
"Did I scare you?" He quirked a brow, not moving his arm but pulling her to the boys dormitory.
"Fred I don't think I'm supposed to-" she said, her heart rate still slowing.
"Oh hush, it'll only take a minute." He rolled his eyes with his charming smile.
So she did, she went along until she found herself in Fred, George, and some other persons dormitory. But they all were awake.
And, on top of it, Hermione, Ron, and Harry were there. Of course.
"Hey guys?.." she stated questionably wondering why they were all there.
"Oh good, I was afraid to wake you, you stayed up late studying so I thought to let you dream a while longer." Hermione smiled as Silvia sat next to her.
"So.. what're we doing here?" Silvia asked, her eyes wandering the dorm. She'd never been in a boys before though it looked vaguely familiar.
"Guess what Harry got?" Ron grinned.
"Vertrisum!" George clapped his hand on my back, excited.
"Okay, and what?" Silvia asked still oblivious.
"Truth or Dare." Harry shrugged casually holding the bottle.
"Oh, don't tell me your not up for it!" Fred gasped, seeing the look on her face.
There was silence.
"Who's going first?" She sighed but smiled in defeat.
They all got excited.
"Me, I will. Since the rest of you are too much of a wuss!" George puffed his chest out proudly.
Hermione said she'd ask him the question.
"Okay George, truth or dare?" She said, her eyes flashing wildly. Knowing Hermione she had already thought this through.
"Dare." He stated challengingly, the rest of us leaned in in anticipation.
"I dare you... to send a howler to a random person in the school. I'd prefer a teacher but you wouldn't do such a thing.." she sighed luring him in.
"Says who?" He smiled devilishly and pulled a red envelope out, and opened it ready to yell.
"HOW COULD YOU DO THIS TO ME?? I THOUGHT YOU KNEW NOT TO TOUCH MY SHOES! I DON'T CARE HOW MUCH YOU ENJOY MY FEET, BUT SMELLING MY OWN DAMNED SHOES IS TOO FAR!!" He roared into the howler and it shut itself after.
Everyone broke out in laughter, even Silvia.
He looked at Hermione.
"You're pick to who it's to." He winked and she thought.
"How about Professor Trewlany?" She smiled, satisfied. Everyone knew she didn't like that Professor.
He shrugged and set it aside, ready to deliver before breakfast.
"Alright" announced Harry. He looked at Ron.
"Ron, truth or dare." He looked at him, but looked at him seriously, not at all seeming at ease.
"Truth" Ron shrugged, taking the potion and taking a swig of it. Brave.
"Is it true that you are the one that had been hiding one of my socks, because you seem to have a kick out of it in the mornings." Harry glared.
Ron spoke without having time to think.
"Yeah, I do really think it's funny. I've been giving them to Hermione to give to the elves for her SPEW project." Ron said but had a scared look on his face.
"I knew it!" Harry bursted but tried to keep a straight face.
"Ronald Weasley!" Hermione gasped and Fred and George started laughing uncontrollably.
"Harry it was for a good reason, really I promise-"
"Don't worry 'Mione, I understand." Harry laughed and then they moved on.
"Silvia." Fred looked down to her, though she wasn't very small, she was still 5"5.
Her stomach gave a squeeze, it was her turn.
"Truth or Dare?" He grinned.
She thought for a moment but decided to play it safe.
"Truth." She nodded taking the bottle from Ron, and taking a swig. It made her mouth feel numb and gave her throat tingles all the way down to her stomach.
Fred faked thinking and almost effortlessly spoke;
"Are you going to the Halloween Mascaraed Ball with anyone? And who?"
This was easy, she was just afraid he'd ask her to go with him.
She went to speak by herself, forgetting the Vertrisum, but her mouth betrayed her.
"No nobody, I don't think I'll actually go it seemed pointless." She said and watched the people around her object.
"It's supposed to be fun!" George retorted.
"You have to go!" Ron yelled.
"I think that's rather foolish." Hermione objected.
"Absolute rubbish!" Fred rolled his eyes.
"Who's to dance with me?" He shook his head. The trio must have thought he was joking because they laughed, but Silvia shot him a dangerous look. She didn't want their cover to be blown.
She didn't have feelings for him anymore, she wish she had though. He was a great person, better then the one she had in mind.
"Maybe! Maybe I'll go." Silvia said, even though she just wanted the mhm to give up, she wouldn't actually go. It was actually in a few months. She was never fond of dancing.
Soon enough it was 6, and they headed down for breakfast.
They all sat together, eating and laughing, Hermione held A History of Magic by Bathilda Bagshot in her hand, re reading it.
Silvia could hear the commotion around her, and felt cold eyes staring at her. The pressure was there, she didn't even have to look.
She found herself trying to look effortlessly pretty, and butting in to conversations to imply she didn't care for him.
However, her eyes didn't seem to like the idea, she risked a glance and his gaze didn't waver, just like it used to be. She swallowed a lump in her throat, her face falling and giving her away but yelling caught her attention.
"HOW COULD YOU DO THIS TO ME?" It bellowed, "I THOUGHT YOU KNEW NOT TO TOUCH MY SHOES!!" The howler screamed, but ringing replaced the sound in her ears. It went very quiet, but people still seemed to hear even though she couldn't. It went on.
She turned and saw Malfoy still looking at her, his eyes looked like they'd pop from their head. She turned away, though it was very hard.
Her friend group was laughing as with the rest of the hall. She faked a laugh and platinum blonde hair caught her eye.
She turned and saw him flying out of the hall and she whispered in Fred ear, not taking her eyes from Malfoy the whole time.
"I'll use the lavatory, I'll be right back."
And she got up, and followed Draco Malfoy out of the hall. He was like a magnet.
She could only follow.
