ɢᴇɴᴛʟᴇ ᴀɴᴅ ᴡᴀʀᴍ

Tokito sat in the middle of the room, his body still covered in bandages. He was well enough to go back to his own house, so he was happily content. He let out a long a gentle sigh, his pale skin glowing in the soft moonlight.

Suddenly, warm arms engulfed the smaller boys frame, making him look up.

He was met with soft crimson eyes and a nice smile. "Hello Muichiro.."

Tokito's face lit up at the sight of Tanjiro, "Hello sunshine!" He said in a happy tone as he leaned back into the embrace. "I wasn't expecting you to show up.." he muttered in a low voice.

Tanjiro laughed at the nickname "I wanted to check on you.." he said before he set down a small box "I even brought food, so we can eat together!" He said

Tokito gave the boy a happy smile "That sounds lovely!" He said as he grabbed the box and set it in his lap. He untied the carefully packed package and lifted the lid of the box. Inside was a carefully prepared meal, two piping hot bowls of ramen, nearly put together like a personal had down it. "Wow.. did you make this yourself?"

Tanjiro rubbed the back of his neck and looked off to the side.. "No.. Miss Mitsuri did.."

Tokito smiled and laughed gently, leaning up and kissing the older boys cheek "It's alright, no shame in asking for help." He said, comforting Tanjiro.

"So.. Are you ready to talk about it?" He asked.

"Hm? My memories?" Tokito asked as he looked down.. "Mm.. I believe so.. I don't want to keep you in the dark any longer." He said

Tanjiro shifted, getting more comfortable as he prepared to listen to Tokito intently.

Tokito took a deep breath.. "Well.. I remember that I did have a family.. My Mother and Father, then my twin brother Yuichiro.."

"Twin brother?!" Tanjiro suddenly shouted

Tokito laughed "Yes sunshine.. I had a twin.." He explained "My mother died of bronchitis when I was 10.. and my father followed soon after.. He fell off a cliff.." he muttered.. "Me and Nii-san fought a lot after that.."

"Murichio.." Tanjiro started, but Tokito just smiled softly

"Hey, don't worry.. Yeah those days were hellish.. and the heat didn't help.. One day, it was so hot we left the door open.. and a demon came into the house.. He killed Nii-san and I lost it.. I don't remember much after that.. it's kinda.. blurry.." his voice got airy again and his eyes dilated.. like he was wondering..

"Mui.." Tanjiro grabbed his hand, "Hey.. Come back.." he said as he pushed his face to him.

"Ah.. Sorry was I getting lost again? Force of habit.." Tokito said as he kissed the redheads cheek "I'm alright, don't worry."

"Alright.. But Mui.. that's horrible.." Tanjiro said..

"Well yes.. It is quite horrible.. But.. My Nii-san, Mother, and Father don't want me to be sad about that, just like your family.. they don't want you to be sad.."

Tanjiro laughed a bit, trying to lighten up the mood "Hehe, yeah, I'm sure they're happy for us.." he said as he hugged him, and suddenly picked him up.

"Ah-! Sunshine what are you doing?!" Tokito said in a flustered voice as he wrapped his arms around the others neck to prevent him from falling.

"This conversation got sad! So I want to make you smile! Forget about the bad memories!" Tanjiro said as he spun Tokito round and round in circles.

Tokito giggled, holding onto Tanjiro with a happy smile on his face. "Sunshine your making me dizzy!" He called out through his giggles.

Tanjiro chuckled, "Ok ok!" He said as he set Tokito down, the boy stumbling a bit from the dizzying motion

"So silly!" Tokito said as he leaned up and pecked Tanjiros lips. "But you gonna make he fall one of these days!"

"No, I'll be there to catch you no matter what.." Tanjiro said I return, pushing some of Tokitos hair back and out if his face..

Tokito blushed from the loving action.. "And I'll be there to catch you too.. if you ever fall.." He said

"Alright.. then it's settled Mui!" Tanjiro cheered happily

"Yes, I suppose it is.." The other said before he looked out to the forest in front of them.. Everything was calm and peaceful.. The sound of the flowing river filled the quiet air.. Tokito let out a soft sigh as he closed his eyes and took in all the calming sounds.. But soon, the quiet was disturbed by a loud boom from the distance.

The two spun around. "What was that?!" Tanjiro cried as he saw smoke rising from the ground and into the sky, blocking out the moon.

"It was an explosion.." Tokito said "And it came from the garden!!"
