For once on his life, Tokito Muichiro was nervous. Maybe even scared or paranoid. Yesterday Tanjiro had went away on a mission. Ever since then, Tokito was pacing around his home.

His head wasn't stuck in the clouds anymore. It was grounded down with a sense of worry and paranoia.

The dark haired boy paced and paced and paced. Had he ever been this worried before? He couldn't remember a time where he was. The world seemed to spin under his feet and his mind came up with every bad scenario.

The Flame pillar fails to protect Tanjiro and the demon kills him, and Tokito slowly forgets about his friend.

Tanjiro is overpowered by the demon and is killed, leaving Tokito to forget.

Forget forget forget.

Everything ended in him forgetting.
Forgetting Tanjiro forever.

Tokito sat down as he started to bite at his nails, unable to get thoses possible futures out of his head.

"My friend, Tanjiro Kamado, is 15.. He has a.. a.. Sister.. Her name is.. something Kamado.. ugh!" Tokito hit his head with the palm of his hand "Stop forgetting damn it!"

Tokito slumped down onto the floor in defeat.
I'm going to forget him.. its inevitable..
The dark haired Male let out a long and sad sigh.. why did he feel this way? Why was Tanjiro the one person he didn't want to forget..?

All these questions confused Tokito, the more he thought the more he tried to remember and then that just made him even more upset about the situation.

Was there no way he could win?

Tokito looked around the room, then saw a door, slightly opened. He pulled himself to his feet and walked over to the door.

The door lead to a small closet. The closet was full of paper and failed paper airplanes.

Paper... paper.. airplanes? Right?

Tokito grabbed one of the failed pieces of paper and looked it over, refolding it to remember the pattern better.

When he was done he grabbed a stack of paper and walked to the door. He slid open the door, stepped out and shutting it. He turned and walked down the path.

Tokito always loved the forest. It gave him a strange nostalgic feeling, like a memory long forgotten. He would stop and run his hands through leaves, stared at trees, and even picking up flowers.

When he got to the garden, he walked to the porch of Oyakata's manor and sat down, his legs folded under him. He set the stack papers beside him and grabbed a piece. He layed it out in front of him and folded in in half, then he folded the corners, stopping at the crease of the last fold. He then folded the middle once more and bent the sides down, making two wings.

Once he was done, he picked it up and threw it, watching the breeze carry it away, then crashing to the ground.

Then he repeated the process. Multiple times.

Making paper airplanes was simple, and he could easily get lost in the process.

As the mist pillar continued this simple process, he heard a door slide open "Paper airplanes again, Muichiro?"

Tokito turned his head "Oyakata-Sama," he said.

Oyakata smiled and walked to the boys side, sitting down. "Hello Tokito, what are you doing today?" He asked in that gentle and soft tone of voice.

Tokito looked out over the garden, shining in the sunlight. "My friend Tanjiro Kamado has gone on a mission, I'm trying to keep my promise to remember him." He replied

Oyakata smiled and nodded "I see, I see. Well, you're remembering him aren't you?" He asked as he grabbed a piece of paper from Tokitos stack and started to fold it.

Tokito stared down at his lap. "Yes, but I feel like that memory is slipping away.." he said in a airy tone.

Oyakata nodded "Yes, you have amnesia. You have trouble remembering the present as well as the past," he said, staring at the paper.

Tokito looked up at the clouds "Yes.. As you put it 'I have trouble making new memories'.. Oyakata-sama.. Will I never remember.. who I am..?"

"Hm.. Well my child," Oyakata said "The rain makes the earth wet and muddy, it leaves a gloomy mist over the land.. But the sun comes through the clouds, dries the earth and the mist retracts and that light reveals a beautiful forest.." he paused and put an origami swan in Tokitos hand "You just haven't found the sun yet, Tokito Muichiro."

Tokito blinked, looking up at his master "My sunlight..?" He asked, but mostly to himself.

Oyakata smiled before he stood up "Yes, your sunlight. I believe fully that you will find it.. Now, you should pick up thoses papers and save them for another day," he smiled once more before silently walking back into his home.

Tokito immediately got up and started to pick up the papers he had folded, but when he lifted his head, he looked at the sky.

"My sunlight.."
What if I've.. already found my sunlight?
